Default Nets Ready To Make Moves?

Could VC be on the move yet again? Or, will RJ or Kidd be the ones moved as the Nets look to rebuild? Stay tuned.

According to The Post, team president Rod Thorn and assistant Kiki Vandeweghe have been in touch with every team in the past two weeks. Several persons - some close to the team, others with opposing organizations - insist that all trade scenarios are being looked at closer than ever.

"With Rod there, what's going on with that team can't continue," one opposing executive said. "Like with most teams, his hands are fairly tied. But he'll try to get something done by the deadline or maybe [do] something major in the summer."

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Kidd gone by the deadline when his value would probably be at an all time high. I still say Dallas would benefit most from having him in their line up.

What would Cleveland give up? If they have some expiring's yes. But, I don't see Thorn taking on any long term contracts for Kidd, VC, OR RJ.

I'd take Jefferson. RJ to Toronto for Dixon, Graham, Rasho and a lottery protected 1st rounder through to 2013. Make it happen BC!

RJ is an above average SF who is a product of Kidd. Legit 2nd scoring option he is not. He only has 2 moves, take standstill jumper or put head down and drive all the way to the hole. He's easily stoppable when not being spoonfed and forced to play in the halfcourt(see Kenyon Martin). Jefferson is just a slimmer Maggette with more brains but less clutchness. He takes fucking stupid shots when it matters and never hits.

I think he would be very productive with Calderon/Ford

As do i, Hoops.

Jefferson would be one NJ player i wouldn't mind seeing in a Toronto uniform. Nachbar wouldn't look back either, but Jefferson has more talent.

true.
if we were to get anyone from NJ, i'd take RJ.
i hate the guy, but he'd fit in here perfectly.
he's having a great year.... at least he started off really well.
nachbar would be nice too, but we dont really need another sharpshooting 3 point specialist.

The Nets might as well trade RJ and KIdd, get some cap relief for the end of this season and go after Elton Brand/Luol Deng/Ben Gordon

RJ dissed Toronto. He can go fuck himself. We need a guy that can play D as well as come up with big plays when it matters most. RJ does neither. RJ is the SF Kenyon Martin.

Love him or hate him, Rj would be a good fit in Toronto. He's active, he can hit open shots and he can take it to the hole...and he does play good in the clutch - he did manage to pick off that pass from Calderon in game 6 (although I'm sure a midget could have done that as well..)

so with NJ almost definitely trading Kidd, they will be looking for a PG to run their team.

so the question is; would you trade TJ for RJ?

discuss.....

i know i would!

In a heartbeat, but the Nets won't do it especially with Ford's health still in question.

If TJ is to be traded it won't be until after June 30 because his contract is Base Year Compensation or whatever.

Secondly, I will jump off of a bridge if they get Jefferson. I hate him and I'm sure he hates Toronto!

He gets his points off of Kidd's creativity and fast breaks. You almost never see him create a play for himself or teammates. Kidd always hits him in the right spot and he has the option of either shooting a wide open 20 footer or driving it all the way in. He's a product of Kidd. His D is average, he cant create for himself, and hes not a clutch performer, isnt that what we all want from the SF position? Our players would be afraid of showering near him, which would cause lockerroom problems, AND hes a fucking prick. How can you people want him here after his trashtalking of our fanbase? R Gay can go fuck himself.
