Default Nets Ready To Blow It Up?

Well, with the Kidd demanding to be dealt or given a significant extension rumours, there are rumblings that Thorn's about to host a fire sale and start rebuilding. Needless to say, it should be interesting.

Rod Thorn nearly traded Jason Kidd to the Lakers for no-names and expiring contracts. Thorn may be forced to try that again, or he could extend Kidd and try to build around him once again.

The Nets don't have the bigs to compete, but their wing players (Jefferson/Carter) + one of the best point guards to ever play the game in Kidd is good enough to be contenders in the East, especially the way the Eastern conference is shaping up this season. I wouldn't blow them up.. just not yet. Kidd is smart. He knows he's the straw that stirs the drink.

However, if the Nets are conducting a fire sale, I wouldn't mind them sending Boki Nachbar our way.

I'd be willing to bet that in order to get themselves a resepctable big man, that Carter or Jefferson will be dangled as bait, but seeing how they just signed VC long term RJ is the likely candidate to be gonzo if they do many any significant moves. JMO

Hahaha! I hope that happens Doc - whereby they keep Carter. If Nets fans laughed at us because of the way Carter quit on us, wait until the fire sale starts and Kidd + Jefferson and gone.

I never liked Kidd but always though that he is great player with drive to win but now... He apparently doesn't want to play for Nets anymore and wants to be traded... he skipped few practices and last game... Man, just honor your God damn contract... please, what the hell is this crap?

Karma is a bitch. It'd be funny if every signifigant piece is moved except Carter and he's stuck playing on a lottery-bound team that's rebuilding.

On the plus side for VInce, if Kidd is gone he can get his buddy Milt Palacio back in the fold.

Kidd was not happy with Carter sitting out so many games. I'm guessing that he's giving up on Carter more than he's quitting on the Nets. Still - it's another pathetic example of how the players run the league.

Why don't they offer Vince or RJ for Gasol? They need a post presence in the worst way, and it's worth a shot...

Though I'd personally be happier if they just blew it up!
