Nets assign C Sean Williams to D-League
"EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—The New jersey Nets assigned former first-round draft pick Sean Williams to the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League on Monday.
The 6-foot-10 second-year center, who was drafted No. 17 overall in 2007, averaged 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11 minutes per game this season. He last played Dec. 12, going scoreless in six minutes in a 101-79 loss to Toronto. As a rookie last season, Williams appeared in 73 games, starting 16, and averaged 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17.5 minutes per game." Kinda surprised based off of his good rookie season.... |

I'm kind of a big deal.

Although being in the D-League is a good indicator of how shitty he is, he does give the Raptors the interior D that they need. He's a very impressive shot blocker based off of his athleticism and instincts alone. If he can learn a thing or two from O'Neal and Bosh then I think he'd be able to become a very good role player.
Then again, he's got the reputation as a headcase. So probably not. |

This guy is two sandwiches away from Oliver Miller status. When you show up out of shape and have the instincts, but don't have the hard-working attitude to put them to use, you end up in the D-League. He's lazy and his game is limited. Maybe the time down there will help him get his butt into gear and also allow him to work on his game.
