Is the NBA showing other teams how to deal with disgruntled stars?
I can't help but look at this CP3 situation and think of the trades and non-trades and come to some sort of realization that the NBA is essentially showing other teams what they need to do and the type of package they need to receive.
Now, it obviously hasn't been smooth sailing and you could make a strong argument that David Stern is mucking up this entire process, but still, there's a message being sent here.
david alderidge said things like this aren't new. essentially everyday there are trade talks and trade negotiations in the NBA. a lot of back and forth, a lot of revising and what not. but all the public knows about are the trades that only go through and finalize. so the thing with this situation is that, this is the first time really that the public is in on the every process and knows whats going on so we think this is the first time something like this has ever happened. but really trades die, get revived, etc etc all the time
