Lebron has been awesome which is why I think the Cavs could win in 5. But if Curry is the better individual player in this finals, which imo is definitely going to be the case if GS wins - I think he will widely be considered the best player in the NBA. He has been the best player on the court the entire season, and the entire post-season.

But I don't think it will happen. I think Lebron and the Cavs will get the better of him.

And yes, to hell with everything he has done in his career when it comes to talking about the here and now.

If GS wins with Cleveland having no answer for Curry - who do you think is going to be carrying that tiny bit of lingering doubt if they meet in the playoffs against next season? It's not Curry who will be wondering if he can beat Lebron. It will be Lebron wondering if he can beat Curry.

Considering how dependent both teams are on each of these players having incredible individual performances, imo it's like prize-fighting - you beat the champ - you become the champ.

Congrats, you've managed to repeat yourself 3 times in a row. What a waste of time to have a discussion with you. Winning 1 finals, after stacking his team over the years does not make Curry the best. Sorry bud, nobody in their right mind is going to agree with you either. Lebron is the best in the NBA, and no matter what happens in this series, he's still going to be for years to come yet.

Time is a ticking (wasting). tick tock. Think of all the other stuff you could have done. You could have very easily insulted 2 or maybe even 3 people in real life yelling out a window in the time it took to insult me.

It's ok to disagree.

No need to fret, was listening to ESPN, Klay is back at practice today and only has the final protocol left. Kerr expects him to play in game 1.

Wow, even better news for GSW...looks like all the time off is paying off for their injured players....

Marreese Speights Expected To Return For Game 1

Jun 2, 2015 1:17 PM

Marreese Speights went through workouts on Monday and is likely to return for Game 1 of The NBA Finals.

“Mo looked good in practice today,” Steve Kerr said. “He’s still day-to-day. We’ll have to see how he responds. He was really solid, and looks better each day.”

Speights strained his right calf in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on May 9 in Memphis, missing the final three games of that series as well as all five games of the conference finals against Houston.
Wonder if they roll with Curry/Klay/Green/Speights/Bogut for their big line-up against the Cavs big line-up....I think Green could at least do something against LBJ.

What boon to get a healthy Speights back, he's athletic enough to take on TT or to play center when the Warriors go small ball.

You know, if LBJ beats a healthy, fully rostered GSW team without Love and a hobbled Irving, you would have to put him in the conversation as best ever - and I'm not a fan of LBJ.

Agreed. At the same time, if he loses it'll be 4 finals losses in 6 appearances.

I hope cavs win, but i don't think they can win if LBJ keeps missing three pointers and turn the ball over.

Couldn't resist -1, just don't like them but I agree, GSW will make them pay for every TO.

Green is going to be huge in the series, I think he could be the difference maker on Lebron defensively

I agree. But Barnes is no pushover defensively either. The dude has been liftin' and has stayed in very good shape all season.

People trying to say Tristan Thompson will get the better of Green. I don't see that happening at all. Green can get out on the wing, do damage in transition. There's not too many legit power forwards in the NBA that can play the wing. Tristan is going to be huffin' and puffin' trying to keep up in this series.

People are getting carried away with TT, he's not on Green's level imo. Besides, now that Speights is back, when the Cavs go big, he can guard TT and allow Green to focus on LBJ and when the Cavs go small with LBJ at the 4, Green can stay with him. It's be a concerted effort anyways. Barnes, Iggy, Green will all take turns.

A few things that I haven't seen discussed are the possibility of Bogut guarding Thompson, and Green on Mozgov. It'd make more sense in order to keep Thompson off of the glass I think, unless Draymond is up to the task.

Also, I think it's a possibility that Lebron plays center at times in this series when the Warriors go to the Draymond at C look. That would be really interesting.

Might be dangerous for the Cavs...I'd have Curry/Klay/Barnes/Speights/Green to counter (thinking TT at the 4 and keeping DG on LBJ). Might even sub Festus at the 4 too in that situation, he's been playing really well. I'm thinking Green will be draped on LBJ at whatever position LBJ plays - he's been smacking it up since his college days DG has, don't think he likes Lebron at all LINK TO THE SMACK. I know it's easier said than done, but if the Warriors can keep Lebron out of the paint, taking his drives away from the middle like the Spurs do to everyone (limit them at least) and let him shoot from distance then I think it'll be a short series.

Oh boy oh boy, I can't wait for tonight.

Game threads would be nice. Klay standing with one foot 12" out of bounds holding the ball and no whistle. NBA officiating in the finals the best there is. Lol.
