Wow that is the stupidiest thing I have ever read. Why does the NBA care if he brought someone to his room.

^yes, If you are a rookie entering nba, you need to leave best possible impression. He still needs to build his image, he still needs to earn playing time. If he can't be 4 days without hoes it's a definitely a red flag

Apparently this happened to Kobe as well and he was almost sentenced to 20 to life.

Surprising he was dismissed?

The whole point of going is to get you to avoid trouble, used to following rules and not end up wasting your career, money and opportunity.

If you're going to follow the rules anywhere, it's there. LOL

He's entering a dream world and is about to see years of ridiculous amounts of money, gold-diggers, snakes in the grass, media, social media, etc. Even WITH the program you see guys getting in trouble, wasting their careers and ending up bankrupt.

I agree with pretty much everything Matt Barnes has to say on the subject.

In 2008, Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were expelled from the RTP after it was discovered women and the scent of marijuana were in the room. They were both fined $20,000. Later, Michael Beasley admitted he had been in the same room and was fined $50,000.

I'm not sure which is more ridiculous, the rule or your post.

And I guess when you meant when it would be cool if the Raptors name reflected tolerance of sexual orientation you didn't mean straight.

not sure where I judged you.. You brought this up, I don't see how my comment about racism, sexual orientation, and multiculturalism has anything to do with this.

These kids are there in the program for 1 week to learn how to be a "professional". Most of them have never held an actual job before. You would think they could just suck it up and not do anything to get them in trouble for a couple of days, even if it meant they had to sit in their rooms and be bored.

Obviously there's nothing wrong with bringing back girls to your place of residence or smoking weed (IMO), but there's a time and place for everything. If you had just started a new job and had to go on an important business trip with your manager and co-workers for the first time, would you think it's a good idea to bring back girls to your hotel room and start smoking weed? Save that stuff for when you go back home.

I think you really should start wearing a helmet full time if you don't see how any of this fits your previous comments, or how the judging part fits or how a program that determines whether grown adults (that are going to see more ass thrown at them than anyone here) can or can't have sex in their own room is wrong. Seriously dude... wtf.

Care to explain your arguments? or are you just talking shit? because the way I see it has nothing to with it, but you have a problem because I mentioned how Toronto is different than other cities because of Gay/lesbian community (hence you chose to ignore racism and multiculturalism parts)
As for SM where did I say he can't have sex? I said that the rookie who is entering the dream job should be able to last few days without it. And if he can't at least folow rules and tell them you are going to have guest.
so honestly, fuck off..

Ha-ha. People are actually arguing him getting kicked out? It's mandatory and no doubt agreed to by his own player's association.

Think of it like getting your license suspended for 30 days. No, it's not wrong for you to have a license, yes you will be able to drive. But if your ass gets caught in that 30 days "just driving around the corner to get a slurpee", that's your ass. So what if you feel you should have the right? Other people are doing it right. What's your problem?

They did not say a grown man can't have sex. They said follow the rules and structure when you are in a program to help you follow the rules and structure.

And I like the new job parallel someone drew. We need more people who can't follow the rules right after they get hired. It opens up more positions for the rest of us.
