In all seriousness though, this is closest to the best idea. A bit extreme, but I like it.
If it was rigged, he could just make one of the balls very slightly different than the others so you can't see it on TV but he can still differentiate the texture with his hand.

So going with the wheel, starting 10 years ago in 2003 this is what the Raptors' drafts would look like:

2003: Bosh #4
2004: Sasha Vujacic #27
2005: Luther Head #24
2006: Thabo Sefalosha #13
2007: Thaddeus Young #12
2008: Derrick Rose #1
2009: Christian Eyenge #30
2010: Avery Bradley #19
2011: Chris Singleton #18
2012: Harrison Barnes #7
2013: Nerlens Noel #6
2014: Isaiah Austin #25

I agree with this - the idea of tanking is perpetuated more or less by internet fandom. Tanking in sports happens when mathematical elimination is more or less assured, or a star player is injured and team demoralized.

That draft list would actually have been pretty decent. Only really crappy players I see on it are Luther Head and Christian Eyenge. I'll give a pass to Chris Singleton and Sasha Vujacic. Everything else I really like

It was funny, I was thinking of ways to rig it. My idea was just to make the "good teams" like some rough sort of texture or something. Or each of the good ones a different texture to tell which is which.

Actually I think the wheel would be a good idea. It'll be good for the fans especially because there would be no more "tanking", everyone would just support the team because there's no reason to cheer for losses. If there was a wheel system right now I'm sure everyone in raptor nation would be hoping for the playoffs.

No one is going to cheer and spend money on a team who they know is going to be complete shit for the forseeable future, plus knowing that they have little recourse for improvement due to not having a lotto pick if they're in that part of the cycle, which will inevitably happen here. This is a losing proposition for a lot of small market teams, and I'm sure that this won't go through because of it. There's too many negatives that can come of this for the small market teams such as being capped out with no lotto pick for years, or top college players waiting a year or two to come to the NBA in order to try to better determine their NBA fate and team. Its a bad system IMO, worse than what's happening right now.

Theyll have to contract teams after a few years with this system because losing teams fans will lose interest.

Yep. I'd be worried about those things too. Rich get richer and poor get poorer.

About for the first pick, they make the ball a different size so that it only can come out. Commercial break takes place in which they remove the ramp where the ball comes out to fit the rest of them.rigged lol

Finally, it helps teams who suck get really good really fast because they'll still get high picks in consecutive years.
I proposed the same so I'm down with this.

The wheel idea is idiotic.

I've always said just give every non-playoff team equal chance in lottery. It's far from perfect, you'll have fairly weak east teams getting low picks and fairly strong west teams getting high picks and also people suggested teams in 7th amd 8th may tank out of the playoffs to get the shot at no.1 pick (not that likely imo but maybe.) however this idea seems WAY better than this idea and the current situation imo.

Tanking needs to exist in this league. With a CBA that has maximum contracts but no hard cap, small market teams have no chance to sign franchise players in free agency. The only way to get those guys for them is to have a weighted lottery that allows them to sacrifice short term revenue in exchange for a chance at long term success.
