Heat NBA.com: Everyone hates on Chris Bosh

lol

I love it!

Quote:
HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – One of the main reasons Chris Bosh decided to take his talents to South Beach and join LeBron James and Dwyane Wade was exposure. He wanted more of it and knew he’d get it there as opposed to what he’d experienced in Toronto.

Be careful what you ask for Chris, because you’re probably getting more than you bargained for these days. And it’s not just from NBA types who have raised eyebrows about Bosh’s performance so far (he’s averaging 13 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists for the 4-1 Heat). It’s coming from all directions.

Sports Illustrated NFL guru Peter King chimed in on Bosh in his Monday Morning Quarterback:

I know less about the NBA than I know about Norwegian politics. But I did leave the basketball game wondering how in the world anyone would think Chris Bosh is on LeBron’s and Dwyane Wade’s level. It should be the Big Two and Three-Quarters in Miami instead of the Big Three, shouldn’t it?
It’s one thing for the basketball punditry to question Bosh’s ability to thrive alongside James and Wade, but when an impartial observer like King decides to take that shot, it makes you wonder.

Even more curious are the words of one of Bosh’s former teammates in Toronto, who painted an interesting picture on the state of affairs post-Bosh in a Raptors uniform, courtesy of my main man Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports (who continues to hit home runs early in the season).

Jarrett Jack, one of Bosh’s best friends since their days at Georgia Tech, offered this extremely insightful take:

“Sometimes when you play with a superstar or an All-Star type of guy, you tend to defer,” he said. “I think all of us do. ‘Get it to Chris, or get it to LeBron [James] or get it to Dwyane [Wade],’ without doing your normal, instinctive, aggressive thing. [With Bosh gone], it allows people to spread their wings, grow and see where they are as players for an overall season, which is kind of cool. We don’t have to worry about, if we don’t get him 25 shots, it’s going to be hell on Earth. It’s kind of cool being able to go out there and play.”

Bosh still has plenty of time to find his groove and do exactly the same for the Heat, “just go out there and play.”

We are, as Heat fans reminded us here at the hideout last week after that loss in Boston, just days into a season that will stretch into the summer of 2011.

We’re not writing Bosh off . Not yet. We’ll wait on the real Bosh to show up

I honestly don't think Bosh was worth all the money esp. considering he gets outplayed by bench players. Heat shoulda just signed LBJ and signed some cheaper players

While Bosh is not on the same plain as Bron and Wade, he made it clear his goal is to win championships, not compile all-star appearances. His stats are irrelevant.

People are hating on him because he makes the same amount as Wade and Lebron

The great thing about that signing, though, is that they have Bosh as a tradeable asset for the next 6 years. That's what I'd do: swap Bosh for a better post defender and more scoring help off the bench.

Every team needs a big man to get down low and get easy baskets. All Wade and Lebron need is a PRESENCE down low.
Unfortunately, Chris does not score easily and is certainly not a commanding presence in the post. He isn't the 'big-man' for this system.

With that said, Lebron and Wade + another scoring option is more than enough.

Actually, the most trouble that LeBron-led teams have had is when there is a big body clogging the paint when he tries to drive. What they need is bigs who can pop out to 15-18 feet and drain jumpers, as well as hit the offensive glass. So I would say that their model fits Bosh very well, if he was a better defender.

What about the interview where he said that it was all about being on national tv?

Then the other interview where he said is sucked to not be voted into the NBA first team because he played in toronto?

Then all the other stunts he pulled this summer to get attention?

Ummm

Didn't Chris Bosh also say at one point that he wants to be THE MAN, that other all stars should want to come play with him, that he wants to be the franchise?

I thought Bosh said many times that he wants to be 'the guy' for whatever team he plays for. The guy is a flat out joke.

Really? After 7 years of Bosh being in Toronto you think he doesn't care about going to all-star games? Why do you think he made all those videos begging for people to vote for him? Bosh wants to be in the spot light, participate in all-star games, and win championships. I highly doubt he'll goto the all-star game this year, so that'll definitely spark some tension.

If he misses the AS game this season, which I still entirely doubt, then winning big in the playoffs, and shining bright as part of a great team, is going to ease an awful lot of tension. And it will put him in the AS game for years to come.

There are some on our Forums who are not thrilled with Bosh's performance, I am not one of those people however.

I wish he would rebound the ball more being he is at 6.6 this season but he did 10.8 here, but if we get say 15 and 9 out of Bosh that is all we need. Haslem and Z are doing work on the boards and we already have offense with Wade and LeBron, but with Jones and House pitching in there is even less pressure on Bosh, Anthony and Haslem relieve a lot of defensive pressure on him as well in the post. Not to mention when Miller returns in January from his broken thumb and gets back on track, Bosh will have even less pressure for points.

Alls I have to say is if Bosh is a little more agressive when he gets the ball as well on the boards, well then he is worth ever nickel of his contract. Name me a 3rd Option in the League who is better (keep in mind this is after only 5 games, by game 50 I would love to see where the team is at and what each player looks like).

Basically, if Bosh only did 13 I am okay with it, I just wish it came with about 10 boards as well. If we have LeBron and Wade combining for 45-60 every night or so, along with JJ, House, Miller or Haslem putting up 10 or more every other game, then Bosh's offense really doesn't concern me a whole lot, especially when the oppossing Power Foward putting up Bosh's numbers against us is a good night for them so far.

Karma is a bitch eh bosh? You didn't get the spotlight here in Toronto, now you will get all the spotlight you deserve!

Lol, but seriously even though Bosh deserves this, I think he will be fine as long as the heat keep winning games. What shocks me is his rebounding numbers. He has not rebounded the ball well and is simply just a jump shooter with no desire to attack the rim.

If Bosh keeps up this play then I see Bargnani dropping 30+ on him when the heat come to Toronto.
