Nash voices frustration

To be honest, if I was outside this picture and a betting man, I would probably pick us to be outside of the playoffs considering all the changes and the new guys,
Quote:
"I spent four months this summer and a month this training camp feeling like I'm trying to get to the top," Nash said.

"It's hard as a competitor to convince yourself every day all summer and then through the preseason that you're going to get back to where you were and hopefully take the next step, and then you realize that camp is starting all over again and it's not quite as linear as you made it out to yourself all summer."

If I were Nash I would demmand a trade about now. He is 36 years old and he needs to get on a contender before his time runs out. He can't waste his time on a rebuilding team that has no structure. Maybe if he was 30 years old right now it would make sense building a young team around him but not at the moment.

Can you imagine the look on Turkoglu's face if Nash is dealt?

The Suns are probably on the outside looking in, in terms of the playoffs IMO as well.

And they are hurting when it comes to young talent, so they will try to address that issue first and foremost in any potential Nash deal. Are there any contenders with tradeable young assets? Orlando would be a nice fit, but what do they have to entice the Suns.

New York, although not contenders, would be an interesting destination - reunion with Amare and D'antoni. But the Suns are neck deep in SFs as is, why take back Gallo or Randolph.

I know I'm jumping to conclusions, but this is a toughie. Ohhh, how about the Trail Blazers?! Or Memphis. hehe.

Turk would love to see Nash go, that puts BALL in his hands again

The build of that team is quite dysfunctional. Childress, Frye, Warrick and Hedo are poor replacements for Amare. Paid these guys ton of money long term, could've kept Amare and contended.

Nash to Canada!

I would love to see Nash on a legitimate contender.

Sort of, but I meant this season and beyond. You know, before he retires.

Steve Nash has been underpaid his whole career... only getting 11.7 million next season in the last year of his contract. Dude has two league MVPs. Hopefully some contender will be able to give him a decent contract instead of him just going to play on a contender for the league minimum.

The only way I see Nash coming to Toronto is for financial reasons.

He's said before he'd like to play in Toronto and possibly retire in Canada. He'd come here if another good player can be brought in. Likely though, he'll go to a contender.

If Nash is frustrated in Phoenix with the lack of direction and lack of talent, he'd most certainly be frustrated in Toronto.
