Please, we averaged 17,000 with an absolute shit team. If Nash was here and we then add a solid SF this team would sell out most games for sure.

lol @ you if you think these were actually Raptor fans, and not Leafs season ticket holders.

Besides, I'm losing hope that we will add that vet SF

It's funny you say that. Some guy was on the FAN590 about a month ago and McCowan went on about how Leaf season ticket holders were essentially forced to buy Raptors seats, this guy went on about the fact that leafs season ticket holders were not asked anymore to take Raptors season seats and that the practice of doing that had stopped about 5yrs ago for the most part. Not sure if it stopped altogether but apparently they aren't so tied together as most puckheads would like to think. Well according to this guy anyway who supposedly knew what he was talking about. Take from that what you will, as a puckhead i'm sure you'll poo poo it because heaven forbid anybody shows up unless forced. The lack of confidence in this fanbase by it's own fanbase astounds me. With the size of the city and the demographics the fanbase is a good healthy size to say the least. And say what you will, i honestly don't give a shit, 17,000 is 17,000.

lol. It doesn't, and never did, work like how you think it did.

The waiting list for Leafs season tickets is crazy long, but it is almost impossible to get them because of the renewal rate amongst existing season ticket holders is extremely high (99%+).

In order to skip the waiting list, a person must buy Raptor season tickets as well. MLSE never forced Leafs season ticket holders to buy Raptor season tickets, they just provided an incentive to. Essentially they were saying, "Hey if you want Leafs season tickets, join the waiting list. Otherwise, skip it by grabbing Raptor season tix."

This practice most definitely did not end five years ago. Couple my buddies had to buy Raptors season tix in order to get Leafs season tix. And even if it did, that could explain why the attendance magically has been decreasing since 2008.

Also, if you've ever been to a Raptors game, you will definitely notice a lot of empty seats, but a stated attendance figure that seems blown out of proportion. Don't know if its actual attendance they count, or if its tickets sold (i.e. season ticket holders who bought tickets but didn't show).

REGARDLESS, I'm not saying the Raptors have such a shitty attendance. You make it seem like Raptor fans are as crazy about this team as Leafs fans are about the Leafs. What I'm saying is that Raptor fans aren't as crazy about their team as you think they are, and they have every right not to be. This team flat out sucks and has been garbage for the past 12 years. I think Leafs fans are stupid to be forking over hard earned cash to watch those suckers play. But that's just me.

When this team starts winning games again, the fans will come back in droves. This city is desperate for a winner. Just don't expect sell outs every game if we are still a shitty team with or without Nash.

Nash might lead to more sell outs yes, especially during the honeymoon stage of a Nash-Raptors matrimony. But weekday games against the Wizards, Cats, Bucks, Pistons, Cavs, Kings, Jazz, Wolves, Nuggets, Rockets of the NBA are not going to be SELLOUTS before the Raptors prove they are a team capable of winning.

I think it's entirely possible with Steve Nash

All I know is that I'm damn glad I did not commit early to a package.
