Default Nash close to extension, and Odom closer to disneyland

The courtship of Lamar Odom has begun in earnest, with the Miami Heat reportedly offering the unrestricted free agent a five-year contract worth about $35 million. That's more years, but not more money than the Lakers offered him. Odom and his agent did not respond to the Lakers' offer, which angered team owner Jerry Buss, who yanked it off the table earlier this week. Actually, Odom had his choice of two offers from the Lakers. There was a three-year deal worth $30 million or a four-year contract worth $36million. Apparently, neither satisfied Odom and his agent, Jeff Schwartz, who seek a five-year offer. Odom called Buss in an attempt to restart negotiations with the Lakers, according to a report Friday night on KCBS.

Steve Nash's agent, Bill Duffy, and Suns GM Steve Kerr said they have continued talks about a two-year contract extension with both sides feeling like they could be close. Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver met with Duffy on Wednesday and the sides have continued talking and exchanging proposals since then.

What, for the Bi-annual exception?

I prefer he leaves LA but stays in the West; Portland, Dallas... Denver would be the bomb. I'd love it if he came back to hunt the Lakers in the po's.
