Default Monta over Jennings?

Monta vs Jennings....and who will play better with JJ Redick. I guess this means they want Ellis as their PG....which I always thought he did a good job in GSW when Curry went down.

I'd take Ellis all day but if they could re-sign Jennings at a reasonable price, I'd keep them both, obviously.

Ellis> Jennings

But I would not keep both. Both are a little too selfish to be on the floor for 30+mpg together imo.

If Larry Drew is coaching next year I would keep both and see what happens.

Probably more to do with personality than their game. He said something about Milwaukee / small market is holding him back from All Star games. Not to mention clashed with the coach.

ellis is a chucker, and whilst so is jennings, jennings has gotten better at distributing and reducing his tunnel vision. he also has more upside.

jennings 10 times out of 10. I hate ellis's game

dispose of both. team needs a better identity than what these two bring the team.

Jennings: 17ppg/6.5apg/3rpg/1.6stls (40FG%)

Ellis: 19ppg/6apg/4rpg/2.1stls (42FG%)

I had Ellis on my fantasy team and was impressed with his assists tbh

yup, since the birth of his son when he was in golden state, monta has matured into a dynamic leader in terms of example, he still has some holes in his game but hes become a positive influence in the locker room. its jennings that needs the growing up, dude stil is full of himself after his 55 point game 3 years ago lol

A couple of things to note. Ellis is still pretty young, too, since he came into the league straight out of high school. He's only 27. Ellis is a career 45% shooter. In 4 seasons, Jennings has only shot 40% once. Ellis is a chucker, but he's had a couple of really productive years in the past.

I'm not a fan of either of their games, but if I had to keep one, I'd probably go with Ellis. I'd look to S&T Jennings. Maybe a team will give the Bucks a 1st rounder in a trade for Jennings instead of risking the Bucks blocking their offer sheet.

He's definitely not the defender Wade is, and that wins games. Monta is a silly goose.

I don't understand what the bucks are trying to do I think it's time blow it up a d start over. They should have moved both players at the deadline and tried to get something back. Wong be surprised to see both players leave. It will be mutual for all parties involved

Indeed.

To answer the thread though, I'd definitely take Ellis over Jennings. Ellis was a monster earlier in his career and showed he can be a 2nd or 3rd guy too and be efficient in playing that role. He needs good coaching and the right role, and he's capable of exploding. Ideally, he should go to a team with a bigger PG who can guard 2's, but his best role at this point would be a 30-32 mpg 6th man. He'd be fucking amazing as a 6th man for a good team.

Jennings is a low efficiency chucker who's got his head so far up his ass it wouldnt surprise me that he's one of the 'big name' free agents that gets signed the latest because he's going to hold out for more money that he'll never get. Wouldnt be surprised if he has to settle on the Bucks qualifying offer of 5 mil for a year because no other team with cap space will sign him and he wont want to sign for the MLE with another team, and then become a UFA next year. He isnt a winning player, and may never be.

i'd take Jennings, I just think he has the ability to make his teammates better where as monta is just a one on one guy

ever since Jennings joined the bucks they've been competitive, which is a lot more than what you can say about demar derozan
