Draft express:

Jun 16, 2009 4:11 PM EST
Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News and Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com filed separate reports that suggest there are yet again growing problems in Golden State.

Sources indicate that Monta Ellis is unhappy with the direction of the franchise and is considering 'popping off' in order to force his way off the Warriors.

Ellis has met with Don Nelson and Larry Riley and expressed that he doesn't want the Warriors to draft a playmaking point guard.

One NBA executive tells Givony that the Warriors have made a promise not to select such a guard.

This will leave Golden State to likely select Jordan Hill or James Johnson
Him and Crawford are probably up for grabs to the highest bidder.

Ellis just seems like a bitch to me. A whiny, overrated bitch.

The guy has the opportunity to be a leader, and when the going got a little tough he wants to leave. This shows that Golden State made the right choice on selecting who they're going to build their team around...

Then again, I wouldn't want to build my team around an undersized scoring guard who is too weak to defend other SGs anyway....

I don't know why people feel he's such a bitch.

He may not be the biggest or strongest SG out there, but the guy has heart. When healthy the guy is a machine and has a unique aggressiveness you rarely see in a player of his size. The guy has unbelievable hops and can board for his size...I wouldn't mid seeing him here under the assurance that he's in good health...

'popping off' at the franchise that entrusted their franchise and invested money into you is kind of a bitch move, don't you think?
