76ers Mo Cheeks fired.

Wow, another one bites the dust...

I have a feeling more changes are coming in Philly?

5 coaches axed by mid December. What happened to some patience? lol

Less Money and a bad economy making winning even more important for teams. They have to fight to make fans open up their wallets a lot harder given the state of things in the world today.

76ers fire Cheeks, sources say

ESPN.com news services

Updated: December 13, 2008, 12:28 PM ET

The Philadelphia 76ers fired coach Maurice Cheeks on Saturday, sources told ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.

Assistant general manager Tony DiLeo will be the interim head coach for the remainder of the season, the sources said.

Cheeks' deal with the 76ers, who started the season 9-14, was guaranteed through next season.

Philly should have Never signed Brand.

Having Brand there kills Iggy.

Iggy needs to run.

NY, GS, TO
These are places Iggy should be to be statistically where he was last year.

16ppg 10rpg 1.5apg .7spg 1.4bpg
12ppg 7.6rpg 1.8apg .3spg 1.8bpg

Brand has more points and rebounds, but he also has that entire team run through him.

Brand would be better off being compared to Bosh and JO compared to Sammy D, JO and Sammy D are not the focal points of their teams offense.

Not to mention Brand is almost playing 6 more minutes on average per game than O'Neal is.

lol, another case of - werent we supposed to be good?
kinda like what we went thru.
philly is realizing that they just arent as good as advertised.

brand isnt the same dominating player...
iggy is pretty much non-existent, he's unable to play his style of ball.
and andre miller is pretty much over the hill - and cant shoot for shit.

Yea I agree with people here about Brand killing Iggy. Iggy was amazing last year because the team ran now because they don't and get the ball to Brand in the post the 76ers aren't playing well. I remember a game where Brand was injured and Igyy scored alot and the sixers won

this is just my opinion, but i thought that Philly had that amazing run at the end of the year to make the playoffs and that is it. People were expecting way to much out of philly and placing them for close to 50+ wins a year since they added Elton brand. But since they added brand, Philly run and gun style can not work. Its like trying to make the Raptors a run and gun team instead of a half court team which they are built as. Philly has some good peaces and i see them as a mediocre team

Iggy is overrated as all hell. The guy was supposed to be a "franchise player" yet he can't operate in a halfcourt offense?

He's just like Marion. Except he's more of a passer while Marion was more of a rebounder.

Mo's one of the nicest guys in the world, and a pretty good coach. Turrrrrible move.

Brand's been hurting them more than he's helping, and Dalembert is a hack.
