Lakers Mike Brown new Lakers coach?

Sounds like it will happen

Quote:

Comcast SportsNet's Matt Steinmetz reported late Tuesday that the Lakers will hire former Cavs coach Mike Brown.
The deal is expected to be worth $18 million over four years, which is notable because the Lakers did not want to spend more than $5 million per year, which would have likely excluded Rick Adelman and some other bigger name candidates. Brown is credited for being a part of the Gregg Popovich coaching tree and his defensive approach, while his offense is much more controversial.

Why not just give to Brian Shaw? I'm sure he was expecting it after all these years.

Next year, the Lakers win 75 games. The Cavs decline last year was due to Brown's firing, not Lebron's departure.

No, I did not type this with a straight face.

I don't really get this. I wouldn't want Brown for the Raptors, much less the Los Angeles Lakers™.

Lol your right they should definately sign him now lol but I could've sworn all Mike Brown did in cleveland was tell his players to give Lebron the ball and move out his way, now he's going to do it with Kobe?

I think Brown is a good Regular season coach, but he is bad when we talking about the series. He never change his rotation, no matter how the game goes. And he has that slow response thing. If something doesn't work, he realize that when it's already too late.

Interesting to see how this one plays out. Brown didn't exactly do horrible with the Cavs squad. I think he brought out what he can from his players. One negative though: I think he needs to improve on the Xs and Os, but who knows he does have Kobe.
