Default Miami vs Dallas V2.0 looming?

I am not one for conspiracy theory's. I generally do not believe them.

Something was fishy about that series between Dallas and Miami though, if they do it again all eyes will be on the refs.

If Dallas gets some early calls, Miami will be screaming that they were "listening to the rumors"

If Miami does "Here we go again"

I just hope it doesnt over shadow, what so far has been a very good playoffs.

I am a fool who still believes Chicago can take this. But no matter what, I am a MAVS fan at the moment.

And it's all good, you can feel star protection, but it's on both sides. Dirk and MAVS are just amazing, thats why they winning. And Miami just outhustle Chi town right now.

as good as dallas' defense has been this playoffs, it just doesnt compare to that of the bulls and arguably the celts in terms of overall defensive talent...this is why i dont see dallas being able to beat miami....its all up to u bulls!

Mavs deserve a championship with that lineup
Dirk
Marion
Kidd
Stojakovic
Terry
with Butler, Chandler, and Haywood and Stevenson in support

Encouraging to see that Dallas can win tough, grind 'em out basketball games where they're not firing on all cylinders from downtown, as evidenced by the last couple contests. That's exactly what they'll have to do no matter who they face in the finals.

Dirk could get Bosh, the opposing x-factor, into foul trouble. For Miami to win, they would then need big performances from the big 3 - Lebron, Wade, and Joel mother fucking Anthony.

My only worry concerning DAL would be where else they were going to get scoring from.

The Heat rotate so damn fast and are so LONG that it's going to be hell for guys like Kidd, Terry, Peja and Marion to get open.

They'll have to own the glass and rack up a lot of 2nd chance points to have a chance... and even then it may not be enough.

I think Dallas' depth and defense could be enough to win against Miami. I'd be interested to see how often Dallas goes into zone, and how effective it will be.

Part of the problem Chicago has is that they have only one player they can really count on to score and create, whereas the Mavericks have a well-rounded offense with arguably the toughest big man to guard.

Agreed re: the zone... that could be key against MIA. They don't shoot the 3 well.

As for the Mavs' offense.... I don't think they've faced a defense as nasty what they'll see in MIA. The addition of Haslem to the lineup just makes them even stronger in that regard.

I do expect Dirk to go off though.... he's unguardable.

I like both teams, and would expect a pretty amazing series that will bring a ton of drama. There will be a ton of guys that haven't quite won a ring trying to do so. In that situation I always enjoy either outcome - finally pushing through to victory, or the bittersweet angst of not quite getting there.

As much as I would have loved to have seen Stockton and Malone win one, I always find some weird pleasure in how they always came up short. Maybe I'm sadistic, but there is just so much that resonates in the anguish. The winners are easy to forget in a sense. They always seem to have just the right set of circumstances to make any hurdles seem fairly insignificant. The guys on the losing end often try to go right through the hurdles only to be done in by them eventually. They bring in the fully human part of the equation and stay in my heart for a long time. I'm not sure if that comes into play so much if Lebron loses, unless he somehow is allowed to become fully human.

The Heat are really fast and long on the perimeter. However, in theory, at least, I think the Mavs are in a better situation than Chicago. We won't know what happens in practice unless they meet-up, which still isn't a guarantee.

Unlike Chicago, Dallas can put out a lineup with 2 guys who can create off the bounce. This matters, especially if Dirk starts to go off and help comes. Chicago has guys who can score, but Rose is the only one who can create shots for himself and others on a consitent basis. That's a big reason why they are bothered by Miami's rotations. Dallas is a different story. Kidd, Terry, and Barea are all capable of doing something with their dribble. And, since Kidd is the size of a shooting guard, you can play Terry or Berea along side him for significant minutes.

Marion has KD's number and is doing decent on Westbrook too.
He'll be fine in other match ups.

He would have been so much nicer to keep then Hedon't.

I can't even think about the finals right now, still gotta close out OKC.

But shit this is epic to watch as a Mavs fan. I was going crazy last night.

You gotta think that the debacle that took place 5 years ago would give Dallas some extra motivation to kill it...

Don't even get me started on that (again). It pains me to watch him play so well now when so many thought he was washed up after he left the Suns.
