Not a lock to win a championship, not at all. especially when you consider they'll have an awful bench for at least the first couple years of business, and the fact that every team will be gunning for them and every fan will be cheering against them. besides the lakers are better on paper, with a MUCH stronger bench.

in that respect this could be VERY good for the league. in the playoffs we're gonna see the miracle on ice, the greeks beating the americans in the olympics, the giants beating the patriots, etc.. I dunno. Parity is consistently good, but upsets are an awful lot more exciting.

here's to hoping.

miami just instantly becamse the most hated team in the nba. there isn't a squad in the league that isn;t going to relish taking these guys on and having a chance to beat the big three. no one has anything to lose playing against them, and they will have their reputations on the line in every game. this is going to be a disaster, mark my words. they won't be deep enough to dominate all year long since the top 3 can't play 40 minutes per night each for 82 games. everyone will be gunning for them. everyone.

Well, Ebanks is playing for the Lakers, Robinson for the Magic, and White for Detroit, so really, the roster looks like this:

Chalmers
Wade/Miller
Lebron/Butler
Bosh
Anthony/Varnando

I'm fully expecting Lebron to play the point this year.

Yep.

Miami will destroy some teams, possibly ours. But against the tougher teams, against physical teams, it's going to be much different.

I wonder if lebron is gonna go through the same process when he announces his decision to take part in the dunk contest? a one hour special.

you're right
there was a whole bunch of trades that messed up the board
it also messes things up when trading picks can't become official when it happens

All this talk about the big three waltzing to a championship is garbage. The Lakers alone are better at than the big three at two of three positions, not to mention a MUCH stronger bench.

Even getting out of the conference won't be a given for these guys. Boston will bully them, Dwight Howard will beast on em, and Chicago's front-line will eat Bosh and random minimum salary centre up.

I'm with 'trane, I'm calling dud. That doesn't make me hate LeBron or Bosh any less though.

From a pure basketball standpoint I'm eager to see what these guys can do on the floor together.
