Default 'Melo wants out already? Surprise....

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told a confidant he preferred to be traded before Thursday’s trade deadline, according to the New York Post

All over HoopsHype - The NBA Basketball Web Site , looks like the wheels are falling off in NY....again.

Sorry if this was posted somewhere already.

Comes to NY, chucks shots, ruins chemistry, and wants to be traded.

Oh Melo...

%1000 agree. I'm actually respecting Lin a lot more if he's holding his ground against 'Melo - a team player vs black hole

Yep...it gets posted once every 4 months concerning Melo.

Melo is a ball hog and an attention whore. The biggest problem he is having is everyone is saying "I wonder how Melo will fit in with Lin" ... when Melo is saying "That dog better learn how to fit with me, foshizzle!"

Melo is all that wrong with the NBA these days.

His selfishness, obvious talent that can't be translated into a productive team player, hot headedness, etc.

pretty sure his teams in denver were productive, as well as his national champion orangemen. new york is a mess and the only way you're going to clean it up is by getting a real coach.

I'm sure everything RF posters read is taken with a grain of salt. Only certain thing is when 'Melo came back the Knicks have not worked well together as a team. When Dantoni's system is run (a la Lin) the team wins, when 'Melo is on the floor he disregards Dantoni and does what he wants and the team collapses cause the rest of the guys are running the coach's plays.

the gm has to take his fair share of the blame. he assembled this mess. he gave up half the team for melo and he would have come to NY half a year later as a free agent anyways.
heres the problem with the knicks, they have too many one dimensional players for one team to handle.
melo = offense
amare = offense
chandler = defense
thats 3 starters that are one dimensional!

do you really believe that the small sample of the melo-less and amare-less knicks was a true testament of d'antoni's system and that they'd continue winning with that line-up?

is it blind hate for melo, or blind love for lin?

Change? Hell no, I like where the Raps are going defensively and as a team in general.

I used to dislike Melo, but not anymore I don't. Imagine yourself in his shoes. The fans are constantly blaming only him for their beloved team's loss and calls him a selfish player.

Now I don't watch many NBA games. However when I did watch Knicks play, I noticed that Melo himself has to create shots. He rarely get the ball when he is open. And he was creating shots pretty good when I was watching him play.

I blame Knicks' GM. It seems as if GM wanted to assemble famous players rather than a team.

I think Lin is a tad over rated personally BUT A'mare can work in that system and has for years - and has with Lin running the point. And sorry, panda said it above, a record of 10-32 in a knicks uni is not a small sample - just indicative of the inability of coach and a great talent unable to gel.

You're so dramatic JF, never said blind hate at all, have some ice cream...feel happier.

Certainly not impressed with Melo's play but hey, the Knicks knew what they were getting in Amare and thought it would work with Melo in the mix so there is culpability there on the management's part.
