Mark Cuban: "I'm not proud of the NBA"

Quote:
"Congratulations to the Spurs. George Hill emerged as the star and really was the difference-maker. They deserve to win. They're a Texas team, so I guess I'll be rooting for them the rest of the way. I'm proud of our guys and the way they kept on fighting back," Cuban said. "I'm not so proud of the NBA.

"I'm not proud of my inability over the last 10 years to have an impact like I want to have, so I kind of feel like I owe fans an apology, but that's just the way this business goes, but congratulations to the Spurs."

The NBA has forced him to put together teams that enjoy choking. Maybe that's what he's getting at.

While Mark Cuban isn't my favourite person at least he speaks his mind and the bias of the officals needs to be recognized. The habit of giving establish players or star favourabe calls should have been stamped out by the league long ago.

Giving tick tack fouls to one team while ignoring harder fouls on another team sets up a perception of games being fixed. A team like the Raptors goes into a game with the likes of LA, Cleveland, Orlando. Boston etc. at anywhere from a 2 to 4 point disadvantage on refs calls. Plus the stars will get that extra step thats never called.

While it wasn't the turning point on the series between Dallas and San Antonio it was a factor.

True I watched most of the series & there were many phantom calls made on the Mavs...The same Phantom calls that happen to the Raps all the time!

Yeah because the NBA really wants the emerging big market Mavs to lose to the 'boring' small market Spurs. Right.

LOL +1

Thats the first thing i thought of ...

I also like how cuban said hes not proud of the NBA. He cant get fined for that i dont think. But if he had said hes dissapointed in the Refs or something along those lines he would get fined.

Smart man

cuban, its called not overhauling your roster every fricken season

its called letting you team gel instead of constantly hauling out and adding in new players

thats dallas for you, a team that only looks good on paper

Yet every summer here, we're crying for BC to overhaul the lineup even though we have a talented team "on paper". Look at their summer activities the last 4 years and look at ours.

When is the onus going to be put on Dirk that he just isnt capable to win ? When you lose to an 8th seed, a 7th seed, and a team that had mo business being in the finals, Dirk has to take responsibilty at some point.

And please stop bitchin about the refs. Like thriller said... Why the fuck would stern want the spurs over Dallas, who quite possibly have the most talent in the league and a much larger market?

Well, around here the only one that gets blamed for futility is Bosh. He's not worth max money and he's no franchise player, didn't you know?
