Marion Didn't Want Trade Until Kerr 'Diss'
March 2, 2008 - 10:48 am
The New York Post -
Peter Vecsey of the New York Post has reported that Miami forward Shawn Marion didn't want a trade from the Phoenix Suns until he received a verbal "jab" from GM Steve Kerr.

Marion, who reportedly wanted a maximum contract from the Suns, was upset after Kerr told him that only Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett was deserving of that type of contract.
LOOOOSER.

Max players can create shots for themselves and others, not just hit open J's and score garbage buckets. lol

i agree he doesnt deserve a max contract, but they were already overpaying him so maybe in his mind...

I know there are a ton of Marion haters, but his skill set is still very unique and the suns seem to be missing him for the time being.

i like marion. he can get to the rim, and rebound, and is nice in the open floor. if thats worth max money then the amount of players worthy of max money just doubled.
i guess thats one of the by-products with having steve nash on your roster.

he's definitely not worth the max, but he's in a world of his own and believes he is... and whats worse, the suns arent doing well lately and i bet he thinks its all because he isnt there.... so probably more than ever, he believes he's worth the max...
sigh.
