Marion & Blount for Starbury & #6 pick?

Not a bad deal for either team if you ask me. Miami get's another Top 10 pick and big expiring contract in Marbury's at the end of next season. :)

I don't think i'd want Marbury if a were Miami, but his expiring contract is attractive.New York is basically giving up a #6 pick for Marion/Blount since Marbury didn't really play much last season and didn't fit into their future plans. They certainly get better and it allows them to trade Curry and or Randolph for a PG!

Wow.. what a shitty deal for the Knicks.
Marbury is an expiring. So is Marion. So it boils down to Blount for the #6 pick? I'm sure Donnie Walsh is smarter than that.

Guess who's coaching, Mike D'antoni. Guess who coached Marion in Phoenix, Mike D'antoni.

Acie 06-26-2008 11:11 AM

Guess who fell out of favour with D'Antoni in Phoenix?

INSIDER 06-26-2008 11:33 AM

this trade makes no sense!
why the hell would Miami do this?
why would Marbury's expiring contract look good to them? Marion is expiring too.
and last time i checked Marion > Marbury.

Insider, Miami is mostly going to get Beasley meaning Marion will be a null..They'd still need a PG.
Also, Marion and if that star player is Nash, D'antoni may bring the Suns back to Knicks. Kind of weird but whatever.

What's going to happen to D-Wade??

If I'm the Knicks I'm not dealing that #6 pick unless Curry or Randolph are going in the package.

Miniwheats 06-27-2008 01:59 AM

it would be dumb but then if they did it they could get a vetran pointguard that could teach a young russell westbrooke

Kuzzy 06-27-2008 03:59 AM

Knicks would still suck and just take in another big contract,
Marbury will get motivated have a better season, but still wont be the marbury he used to be.
