no way dswc. we need a proven commodity, not a guy who has accomplished nothing as a head coach. might as well keep triano.

No, actually, I wasn't implying or anything, just mentioning that it's a possibility for sake of discussion. I Agree, I would rather a more experienced coach too, but sometimes GMs go with familiarity.

Meh I don't really see the point of this... I mean the Griz have a shit roster anyways, there's nothing to gain here. At least in Sacramento he was refusing to play the young guys. For the Griz you might as well wait until the offseason to can him and start fresh

But whatev. He sucked and all anyways.

They did this way too early. It's a good young roster that he's working with, you can't expect the guy to perform miracles. You have to let a team grow with a guy.

He came in touted as Dantoni JR, but most that watch Grizzly games have said he runs the most unimaginative stale offence(especially in the halfcourt) in the league. Basically give the ball to OJ or Rudy and stand around and once in a while run Gasol from the right to the left baseline for a postup. No movement off the ball or creative plays in the halfcourt like Dantonis offence where the balls always moving.

His biggest mistake was not letting Conley at least try to run the team. You really have to see what you have in Conley because he has the athleticism and smarts to be a really good PG Imo.

So much about the next great coach ... As much as I don't like Triano, I think Triano is much better than Iavaroni.
Iavaroni was fired because of "lack of player development" ... 'nough said!

Works out pefectly for BC. I'd be willing to wager that he'll be our coach next season (if not the coach, he'll be on the coaching staff). He was rumoured to be our coach a few years ago, and plays the kind of ball that Colangelo preaches.

Is this really a big surpirse?

He was the defensive coordinator of D'Antoni's Suns.
