I called this two months ago.

KG and Marbury apparently buried the hatchet sometime ago.

bad move IMO.
the celts dont need him at all.
they are pretty much having the perfect season right now and shouldnt tinker with what they've built.

lol dude has a ton to prove, on an ideal team to prove it, the haters will be silenced, he still has crazy skill and he knows he cant disrupt shit in that locker room or he will be pimp slapped and sent packing asap. great move!

Just like Artest, he knows the whole basketball world will be observating and waiting for him to screw something up. He will behave better than a sheep.

WOW. Who the hell will they trade to get him. I see no point in him going there. They have a good chemistry so why break it up to get Starbury

As much as we hate on KG for being a poor sport, he'll definitely keep Marbury's thug ass in line because it's for the good of the team.

nope, i dont buy it.
i hate this trade if im a celts fan.
theres no need for it at the current moment.
they are the best team (record wise) in the league.
its not broken, not even close to broken... why try and tinker?

ugo, you hit this one on the nose "he has so much to prove" and that is the main reason i would be against this as a celts fan.
they dont need a guy coming there with allstar asperations. they dont need a guy trying to score 20 a game, or trying to prove his doubters wrong.
Marbury isnt dumb, he wont ever try to hurt the chemistry, in fact, he'll probably be a lockerroom jesus. but on the court, he doesnt know how to turn it down a notch. he's played his whole life scoring points and making big shots. He wont even realize that he's hogging or taking shots away from his teamates.

on the court, and off the court, Marbury isnt the type of player who makes a team better. he hast done it his whole career, i dont see it happening in this case either. on any other team its a great move.... on Boston - its horrible.
bad move.

since Marbury has so much to prove bring him to the rebuilding Raptors w/o Bosh, JO and/or Caldy. He can't mess up the Raps chemistry because they don't have any.

exactly.
on any other team in the league - its great.
on a championship team - its a terrible decision.

If Marbury accepts a lesser role on the Celts i think it could be a good move. The Celts don't have the depth that they did last year so he could be a nice spark off the bench. However, you think Marbury and KG could co-exist after what happen in Minnie?
