Lotto Draft Talk: Raps Pick #9

Ok, lets say we get lucky in the lottery on tuesday and by some miracle we land the #3 pick? Who would you want. Say the expected happens and Griffin goes @ #1 and Rubio @#2. Who would you want? I would say if this happens BC tries to move up but...? If not, who would you take?

C-Thabeet
PF-Jordan Hill
SG- James Harden
SG- Dermar Derozan
PG- Brandon Jennings
PG -Stephen Curry
SG-Tyreke Evans

There seems to really be no consensus after Griffin/Rubio?

given that griffen and rubio are taken 1st, and 2nd, i would have to go with the best talent, and that is thabeet

Thabeet is almost surely going 3rd. 7'2, and very athletic/mobile. Shotblocking machine. Lacks offensive skill but in this draft it won't matter. He's the consensus #3

The only way I'd see otherwise is if Jennings really blows people away in workouts... I could see the Clippers grabbing him or something. Or if Memphis gets 3rd they'll pick Hill out of need because they're dumb

I'd also go with Thabeet, then trade Bosh (before he leaves for nothing) or Bargs (had a good season) for a wing player

DeRozan.

Athleticism galor, solid guy, solid defender.

His stock is gonna rise at a ridiculous pace during his workouts, ever coach who has ever been around this kid says he is a tireless worker.

If raps get third and the first and second are griffen and rubio then BC will defientely pick thabeet because it gives him so much more trading options with bosh

WTF, that kid is TERRIBLE.

Period.

Think Bargnani, but with no skill.

Who even wants ths guy, except you I guess, but you'll grow out of it soon......

Terrible...so bad I'm tempted to call him Turrible.

I may be in the minority here but I'd rather have a centre that can put the ball in the basket and play solid help defense as opposed to a guy like Thabeet who might block a couple shots here and there but couldn't hit the side of a barn with a basketball.

I'd take Harden and keep the same line-up as last year with some moves to help out the bench

well if thabeet is that for sure of a #3 pick then i'd take him, but then i'd use him in a trade, so i'd basically draft the next best player and use him as trade bait, unless of course its a for sure solid SG/SF type that we need which doesn't seem like there is at this point

The drop off from the #1 and #2 picks is pretty big. We replace Caldy who makes $9 million with a player on a rookie scale for the next 4 years AND we get a future 1st rounder next year which will likely be top 6 and another shot at the lottery.

What do you hate about this trade? We lose Calderon who cant really stay that healthy for freaking Rubio...do you even know who rubio is??? Hes going to be a fucking superstar. and you dont want to trade Calderon for it cause he scores 13 pts and gets 8 assists? lmao...you know who else got those numbers? Brevin Knight. I bet you wouldnt trade him for rubio either?!

lol come on thats a wicked fucking deal and if its on the table we RUN with it. Then add another lottery pick next year because we wont have a pick cause we gave it to miami in the marion trade.

EDITED: Dont insult other members.

OK pick Thabeet with the #3 aka the next dalembert, and watch Calderon play the pick and pop/roll with Bosh all day and get his 8 assists while rubio wins ROY and goes on to becomes an ALLSTAR

and we still have no pick next year. comment on THAT.
