Cranking along here at the lockout stakeout. Hour No. 8 has begun. Been given no indication of how things are going.

In-meeting updates difficult to gage, but person briefed on talks says they are "moving slowly. They're trying to get something done."

There've been "no blowups," the source said. Progress is slow, but the effort to reach an agreement is there.

The NBA and NBPA have made significant progress Wednesday night toward reaching a deal, two sources briefed on talks told Y! Sports.

Don't know if they can close the gap on everything, but do have the sense Stern/Hunter want to make a deal tonight if possible...

Apparently no progress was made but Sterns holding back on putting the hammer down on them as theyre meeting again tmrw.

WTF happened in the 12 hour meeting then?

I'm really angry right now. These idiots have no idea the damage they're doing. They dont care about the fans at all. If they dont come to an agreement tomorrow everyone should just boycott the NBA and teach these greedy pieces of shit a lesson.

Hunter says sides aren't agreed on 50-50 revenue split, but that's semantics. They'll say nothing's agreed until a deal. But they're there.

I wonder what they do during 12 hour negotiations where neither side wants to budge?

The good news is the owners are giving Stern the time to get a deal done. I honestly thought they'd force the hammer down at the end of talks yesterday, but I guess they might actually want to see some ball games this year.

Hopefully today's talks yield something. If Stern is willing to back off his deadline, they must have made some serious progress yesterday.

The good news about this deadline, is it means we won't get any more weeks off of negotiating, while the two parties treat their wounds, as it were. Every day, in the negotiating room, until there's a deal or Stern drops the offer. Hopefully it doesn't go past today - the longer this takes, the more likely the hard-line owners are to get worried about what concessions Stern might be making in the talks and force him to revert to the 47% offer.

Owners have nothing to lose. These teams are a diversion from their everyday lives.

Players need to accept that they dont run the league. Period.

I'm rooting for the owners to squash tards like LeBaby that think they can stack teams and turn the league into a glorified pickup night.
