Blazers drafted a racecar engine, now they just need to fix the broken parts of their rig and they'll be competitive on the track once again.

I still doubt that Lillard will be a best player out of this draft class in a long run. I can see Beal, Waiters, Davis and maybe few others becoming better players than him. That is not a knock on Lillard though, imo he came in more nba ready than other rookies

Waiters? I doubt that.

In fact the only player out of that mix i can see being better in the long run is Davis. I'm hoping Valanciunas will be in the mix but that's probably homerism thinking.

I think JV could ,but he is from a different draft class so i didnt mention him... Waiters has tools to become a beast, will he? i dont know..

if it's the field vs. Lillard, the field seems like a safe bet. A number of very talented guys. Maybe some of them get injured or don't reach their potential, but overall this draft class should end up with 5+ all stars.

Drummond maybe too.... maybe even Ross! I think Barnes as well.

I liked Lillard and wanted us to draft him, if available, so I am happy for him.

Blahahahaha! His stats aren't inflated. He doesn't play in a system where everything goes through him. The Blazers run 3 plays. High pick and pop, shoot a jumper on the side screen, and throw it to Aldridge or Hickson in the post. Lillard creates his own offense. He gets it. He is an innovator. He's a worker. Never missed a shift, not one. I think he's an All-Star next season. We'll see if 22, 8, 4 is in his future next season. Get him on your fantasy team.

this feels like when okafor won hte rookie of the year, wasnt really the best player but had the best stats and won

i'm not saying lillard will be bad like how okafor turned out but what i am saying is he wont' finish at the top of the rookie class 10 years from, there will be several guys ahead of him when its all said and done
