This is the biggest FA bonanza in NBA history and the two-time reigning MVP is the biggest fish. Why wouldn't they have a watch dedicated to him? What's so wrong about it?

Because, we're gonna see 5 stories a day speculating where he's gonna go and why, and what this or that team would do to get him. Do we really need a seperate page for him with a fuckin' ticker? I mean, seriously. It's over the top cheesy and rediculous.

what would really be ridiculous would be espn not having a lebron ticker at all. in this day and age, with everyone connected on twitter, message boards, social networking, etc, we - WE - display a profound appetite for immediate news and future predictions. the media, and sites like espn, are just feeding that appetite that we display.

how many lebron threads have we had here at rf since the start of the playoffs? 4? 5? 6? lots anyways, and we're not even cavs fans. we discuss every possibility, every tweet, every interview, every reported phone call. a massive outlet like espn would be fools to not capitalize on this huge level of interest. they are just creating traffic to theri site, and that is their mandate. people want to know, and espn sure as hell isn't going to be the only site that is not devoting coverage to the lebron sweepstakes. they would be fools not to do this.

Very true, but still silly when you sit back and look at it. But you're right, everyone, us included want as much up to the minute info as possible. I'm actually surprised Lebron hasn't signed on to an A&E reality show to chronicle everything leading up to his decision.... Lebron: Decision of a lifetime ???

I don't get NHL like? NHL and NBA both have their fair share of problems but the NHL media has never pulled off something this stupid like a Lebron Tracker. This is beyond idiotic and nothing but a sad attempt for traffic on the ESPN website.

This has been heating up for over a year. I can handle all the hype now - it's been all the BS leading up to now that was unbearable.

Maybe, just maybe, instead of designing shoes and booking party spots in all these cities, LeBron James should be watching the Finals with rapt attention. Perhaps he could learn how to become an NBA champion instead of working so hard to try and upstage one.

The Knicks have put together a committee of New York's biggest celebrities to help bring free agents to the team this summer.

Of course, LeBron James is the biggest prize.

"New York would be a great thing for LeBron," said Donald Trump, who is joined on the committee by Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Boomer Esiason and Spike Lee.

"He would take over the city," said Trump of James. "I am in many different cities, but I can tell you, LeBron, there is only one New York."

Sources told the New York Post that the stars are expected to meet with free agents and even show them around the city.

"You really want to live in Cleveland? That's what I would tell him. Where do you want to live?" Chris Rock told the Post.

The panel is also expected to include talk-show host Charlie Rose, John McEnroe, Donny "The Big Idea" Deutsch, Whoopi Goldberg, Mark Messier, Phil Simms, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier and Earl "The Pearl" Monroe.
