I really really hope he is in it. He's never been in one right ? He can pull of some really amazing dunks and I don't think anyone is gonna be able to top him.

he wont be in it. He knows he doesn't have the creativity / flare in his dunks to win, so he'll pass on the contest.

what a 2-faced liar! lol
but if he competes, hes is basically gonna win.

theres no way he doesnt make it to the finals unless he SERIOUSLY screws up. if he just takes a job and throws it down, the judges will vote him in. then in the final round, theres no doubt the "fans" will vote for him.

ITS ALL A SHAM YOU SEE

hes just toying with the fans, media.

He has nothing to gain by entering the dunk competition. I don't expect to see him in it.

Strong words towards the best, most explosive player in the league. I don't recall him signing a contract stating he was guaranteeing entry. Do you consider you self a little girl every time you change your mind about something?

I don't see Lebron winning the contest.

The slam dunk contest has more in common with ballet than it does with being an effective basketball player on the floor with team mates and opponents.

You usually need a certain gracefulness to be effective - Lebron is more of a bull. Head down - drive the lane - power dunk. Nothing too graceful and nimble.

Guys like VC, Kobe and Jordan are more of the Ballerina types, which is why they were able to win the dunk contest.

Howard was an exception to the rule, and I think he won largely because of the freak advantages given to him by his height and wingspan, combined with an odd amount of athleticism which is uncommon for someone of his height.

hes probably just a bit scared that he cant think of a cool dunk. perhaps he should just sell out and endorse a superhero in some way a la d12.

Lebron already knows he isnt competing in the dunk contest... he just says this kinda stuff every year to get all the fans wet. its his little gimmick to get more press and get attention.

As much as I can't stand Dwight Howard I do have to give him props for putting himself on the line and continuing to compete in the dunk contest.

Can't say I blame Lebron though. He has nothing to gain from entering the dunk competition but he sure as hell has a lot to lose.
