lebron for howard

So, I'm looking at this Miami team and think that one of Lebron or Wade should be traded for a centre. This would spread out their offense, and would get more use out of Bosh as well. I don't think that the Heat would move Wade, given his history there. So, tell me what you think.

I would never trade a player like LeBron.

carp 05-16-2011 07:59 PM

they'd trade bosh first and should.

th3answ3r 05-16-2011 08:20 PM

They'd trade wade first. Lebron and Howard!? Lol

Lebron for Howard? If it wasn't for Lebron they wouldn't be where they are now. Wade for Howard seems more likely.

Lebron > Magic.

Wade is untradeable in Miami, it's simply not possible for them to do it without crushing the fan base.
It's more likely they would trade Lebron, definitely Bosh, but not Wade.

babyface 05-16-2011 11:10 PM

Can Miami even trade Bosh for Dwight?

Chiggmo 05-16-2011 11:14 PM

Orlando clearly would win this deal, but I don't know a single GM who would trade Lebron for Howard... Howard is good an all but wow...

Bill Haverchuck 05-17-2011 01:31 AM

Initially, this trade would not payoff for the Magic. It would probably take 2 years for them to sufficiently benefit. Why? Orlando would have a tough time surrounding Lebron with enough rebounding and defense, which he'll need to win in the playoffs. The Magic already have a thin front-court with Dwight on their team. Orlando is more fucked when Dwight is gone. Right now, Orlando has Gilbert and Hedo on the books making $30 mill/per combined. Those contracts are a killer. In 2 years, when Gilbert and Hedo's contracts are close to expiring and can be traded, then the Magic would be in a position to build a proper contending team. But, until then, Jameer, Lebron, and J-Rich, assuming he re-signs, would be left to try and out-gun the opposition. They wouldn't be left with other options for their style of play.

So, in the short term, I think Miami wins the trade because they would still be serious title contenders. But, in the long-term, I think Orlando could win the trade, depending on the other moves management makes and how quickly they get done.

Edit - and that's why I refuse to vote: none of the options represent my opinion.

Miami wins for sure.
Wade Bosh Howard (and 3pt shooters at other two positions)
is stronger and more balanced than
Wade James Bosh

While whatever Orlando can put around James will look like Cleveland 2.0

MARTYNAS 05-17-2011 07:46 AM

Win Win. Miami with Dwight would be more balanced, thats true. And more dominant. Wade=LeBron, they both are the same, they need ball in their hands. Dwight in the post + Wade outside ISOs > Wade and LeBron ISOs outside.
Orlando would get best player in the world in the other hand. Big Win, Dwight is leaving and it's pretty obvious.
