Hawes is bad defensively in the pick and roll, but makes up for it on the offensive end. He's be a great 6th man playing 25 mpg for the Blazers, and would turn them into a true contender for the championship.

The question is what would Portland have to give up to get him? If they threw either Leonard or Robinson in a deal with a 2nd rounder it might get it done as Philly just wants young controllable assets to grow with the young core they want to have. I personally feel that Philly would ask for more than I suggested and there is no way Portland offers more than that for essentially a rental player. Sure Hawes is a restricted free agent, but Portland are not going to pay him the money he wants to stay as a backup to Lopez. Some here may think I'm crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if he demands 6-7 mil per year, if not more this upcoming free agency and he will probably get it because of the high demand for C's in this league.

Vasquez as frustrating as he has been, he is worth keeping imo, unless we get something we need. His D isn't horrible, and if he can get his shot down this summer, he will be worth that QO

I don't mind him, but if we can get something some sort of pick or include him in a bigger trade I would gladly let him go

Good for LAL if they can land a first rounder with that deal - boy do they need it.

GV - He's played horrible this season with the raps and has utterly failed as a backup PG. High usage (guy tries way too hard and likes to shoot too much - hate seeing his 2 for 6 or 3 for 8 shooting nights) on fairly poor %ages (advanced and non-advanced), horrid orating - he actually has negative offensive win shares this season - NEGATIVE! His WS/48 minutes are brutal. And defensively I thought he was going to be much much worse but it's been like a semi surprise. Idk the guy just hasn't impressed. Much rather have a dependable, older backup PG here. I really hope this guy isn't plan B in case Lowry walks.

Inside the NBA: Source: 76ers open to trading Evan Turner, Bobcats have some interest. No deal is imminent
Quote:
Source: 76ers open to trading Evan Turner, Bobcats have some interest. No deal is imminent

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Philadelphia 76ers are open to trading forward Evan Turner and the Charlotte Bobcats have looked into acquiring him, an NBA source confirmed to the Observer Monday.

Turner, a 6-foot-7 forward, averages 18.1 points and six rebounds this season for the 76ers. He could potentially add the scoring punch the Bobcats need to reach the playoffs for only the second time in their decade-long history.

The question becomes what the Bobcats would be willing to offer, considering Turner would become a restricted free agent this summer. The team with his rights would have to make Turner a qualifying offer of about $8.7 million to restrict him.

The Bobcats have assets they could throw into trades. They could have as many as three first-round picks in what should be a rich 2014 draft – their own and picks potentially owed them by the Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons.

However, the Bobcats might owe their own pick to the Chicago Bulls (to complete the Tyrus Thomas trade). The picks Detroit and Portland owe Charlotte have some protection; more than likely the Bobcat get Portland’s pick in June. It’s less likely they end up with Detroit’s.

As far as making a Turner trade work under the salary cap, the Bobcats have Ben Gordon’s expiring contract, worth $13.2 million in cap value this season.

Nothing about the Bobcats’ interest appears imminent to making a deal.
This would be a great pick up for the Bobcats in my opinion.

I'm not really sure how much of an improvement Turner is in comparison to Henderson, as both play similar games, despite Turner being better at it, but Henderson is a much better defensive player. I'm assuming that would be the deal as CHA isn't dumb enough to trade MKG for him.

I agree. We all know that Philly is tanking hard now and just looking for young assets and picks. Personally I think the Bobcats will ask them to take Ben Gordon off their hands since they are over the salary cap and are paying a small luxury tax (Bobcats player salaries currently add up to be $60,824,241 vs that of Philly which is only $45,636,502 ).

With Gordon I see the Bobcats offering either Henderson, Zeller, Taylor or MKG (personally I think the Bobcats will not offer either Taylor and MKG, but we are talking about MJ having input on possible roster changes here.)

Depending on who they send, they will probably have to at least give up a pick, but I'm sure they wouldn't pull the trigger on that unless they know Turner will sign a reasonable extension with them. Either way it will be interesting to see what happens.

Marc Stein: Trade rumble: Clippers "itchy" to make a deal and Jared Dudley, with PT harder to come by and logjam at wing spots, is unexpectedly in play. Dudley only just arrived from PHX via J.J. Redick sign-and-trade in summer but hearing now he could be on move before Feb. 20 trade buzzer
Don't know what they would get for him. His numbers don't look that bad, but they aren't where they were with the Suns his last few years there.

Website was probably a slow piece of junk because they trade rumors are bullshit.

Boozer $15,300,000 + Taj $7,550,000 + Dunleavy $3,000,000 is just under 27mil right now.

Diaw makes $4,702,500 and Bonner makes $3,945,000 and they are the 5th and 6th highest payed players on the Spurs. Ahead of them are Parker, Timmy, Splitter and Manu.

I can guarantee you that trade rumor is crap.
