Default lebron to sign extension in 2009

Quote:
James told the Cleveland Plain Dealer he is pleased with the Cleveland Cavaliers' improvement and is considering signing an extension during this summer.

"You play out this season of course; I will consider it," James told the Plain Dealer on Saturday before the Cavs practiced at the Pepsi Center.

"The direction we are headed is everything I expected and more."

That would make Bosh and Wade the top two teams in the summer of 2010. If Lebron signs an extension, we will probably have to ask Bosh to either do the same thing, or start exploring trade scenarios.

I wouldn't be laughing.. when NY will probably settle for Bosh instead.

Well, that's what happens when you win.

I'm not holding my breath on a Bosh extension.

At the rate he's playing / acting of late, I wouldn't be sad to see CB4 go in 2010. Actually I would be sad to see him go that late. I'd much rather see him be traded.

me neither, but I'm terrified a the thought we'll have to pay 22 millions to keep him. That's going to make it even harder for us to build around him. If Bryan gets a nod from MLSE to spend heavy (like the Cavs do - they have 30 millions+ more salaries than us, excluding the luxury hit), then sure - go for it. But if we must keep around luxury, than paying Bosh that much could make us into Minesotta. Right now, the only good thing about our current team is our flexibility, we have a lot of options and no contracts weighing us down. All that could change in 2010, when we could become a mediocre team with no chance to improve.

BC has got to turn that flexibility into production before next season or Bosh will play out the year and walk.

We won't get value back in a trade next season, or even in the off season. It'll be Vince/T-Mac all over again. BC has to either make this team much better very quickly, or trade Bosh very quickly. This really is a key moment in the direction of the franchise.

Of course, Cavs can play him maximum which is more than others can give him ... Fater that he can ask for a trade

Actually I would like to see LBJ signing in Cleveland, CB4 in Toronto and Wade in Miami.

LBJ leaving that team is silly imo, they are legit contenders and will only get better and he is practically a hometown kid, do the right thing Bron, show the haters you can win in a small market.

Thing about Cleveland IMO is that Big Z is so important to them right now, and he's probably got two years at best before getting old and shitty. Ben Wallace too. Cleveland looks great but at the end of the day are Mo Williams and Varejao really the pieces you want moving forward for a dynasty run? I guess they could get another FA though.
