Howard deserves to keep on losing. The max? Sure. When he finds a heart.

Atlanta can just sign Dwight outright, so they don't need to participate. Also, it's only really an option if Smith wants to go to the Lakers, given that Smith Smith is a free agent. Since the teams are in different conferences, Atlanta might agree to help Smith get to the Lakers with the sign and trade, if he wants to go there.

You've seen him play with some heart and grit and determination in utilizing his talent? For more than a quarter or two at a time? I sure haven't. Especially when it counts. The dude does an amazing disappearing act, have to give him that. Whoever gives him the max is a bit crazy.

That's fair but honestly, I don't know to agree one way or the other. Dwight strikes me as a person that smiles at every moment - his deflection away from his inner sanctum if you will.
