jeffb 02-07-2011 08:36 PM

Lakers wouldn't do this imo.

L.A. Lakers Trade Rumors: Is Carmelo Anthony's Scoring Worth Pau Gasol? | Bleacher Report

Bleacher Report :police:

pzabby 02-07-2011 09:12 PM

no chance of this happening..

bjjs 02-07-2011 09:21 PM

Rumour threads started by citing the bleacher report should be banished to the oblivion that is the trade-rumours thread.

wait till the playoffs.. plus, lebron can/is a point forward, carmelo is a strict scorea at will sf. and we all know how good a point guard kobe is when things dont go the lakers way cough "27 shots" cough. theres no one there to distribute the ball, unless we givem jose plus miami pick and get say barnes/blake in a three way trade?

LightsOut 02-07-2011 09:36 PM

lakers can't win without Pau especially if they have to beat boston

kobe can distribute properly if he wanted to, and the thing about carmelo is he's a great post up forward, something lebron should do when wade handles the ball.

this is all hypothetical, but this trade idea can leave one thinking

not only that, but ron artest is still a good trade piece for a big man if this trade does go through

fresh n' spicy 02-07-2011 09:39 PM

lakers got no bigs besides bynum if this happens. melo is better than gasol but u cant get deep in the playoffs without bigs...

Biggest facepalm of history.

Pau Gasol is the the number one scoring option on the Lakers, he is a huge piece of the team and there is no way he'd be traded.

the lakers can't afford to rely on bynum that much.

brianso 02-08-2011 12:20 AM

@ fresh n spicy - dude, please lay off the facepalms. you've posted nearly 25 of them in the last month. surely you can find a better way to contribute.

Lakers and Nuggets in initial talks

ESPN sources are saying Bynum for Melo works financially, with possibly Denver shedding some salary.
Nuggets not interested in Odom or Artest.

Sources: Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets have initial Carmelo Anthony talks - ESPN Los Angeles
