Deandre got more than AB, Gasol got much more than him..... AB's contract is very reasonable.

like never before? How much did Brendan Haywood get last year?

Gray turned down a 1M PO.... so he's likely getting more than that.

Odd that we haven't heard terms on that yet - BC runs a freaking tight ship.

Yeah... very odd. It's a one year deal, but no clue how much.

yeah, fair comparisons.

i would say all are better, esp gooden. Amir gets less, gooden got around the same, 8mill maybe?

i guess they see brown as a starter who will sahre minutes and can get them around 8 and 8 with good D. that would make him worth it i guess.

Something to consider when comparing salaries - players who agree to a single year contract tend to get paid more, as there is no risk of that salary becoming an albatross on the books - Kwame for 7M for one year is much less shocking to me than Kwame for 15M over 3 years would have been.

hey, you brought them into it!? lol. but yeah, true.

we'll see what brown does. if he gives last season's numbers 7mill is too much for me, if he does a bit better it could be not too bad.

very true, yeah. You get shocked by the big number but the commitment is low. I should have considered that.

lol. i thought he'd get more...
Good D, size, some health issues but nothing drastic. 1 year. HUGE demand of centers right now.

I thought it would be near midlevel for at least 3 years.
No offense to DeAndre, I know his 40 mil is about future... but last year, when healthy, Kwame was better.

He may have wanted a multi-year deal, and the higher value was an incentive to allow them to keep flexibility moving forward.
