Lakers Kobe moves into 10th in the Nba all-time scoring list

1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387
2. Karl Malone 36,928
3. Michael Jordan 32,292
4. Wilt Chamberlain 31,419
5. Shaquille O'Neal 28,500
6. Moses Malone 27,409
7. Elvin Hayes 27,313
8. Hakeem Olajuwon 26,946
9. Oscar Robertson 26,710
10. Kobe Bryant 26,671

He needs 11, 716 more points to be number one. Let's see if he has a shot.

So if he continues to do what he's doing for the rest of the year with an estimate of missing 5 more games add 1058 points to that mark.

2011-2012 25.3 with 70 games played = 1771
2012-2013 24.5 with 75 games played = 1837
2013-2014 19.5 with 75 games played = 1462
2014-2016 15.5 with 130 games played = 2015

He is 38 now.

Which adds up to 8143 points giving him a total of 34, 814. I think he plays till he's 42 maybe if no major injuries and takes care of that body and has a chance passing Malone. But the great Jabber hell no.

I don't see him getting first place. Gratz to him on the accomplishment

I think Kobe will want to retire with that record.

And to be quite honest, I don't see Kobe averaging less than 20 until he retires.

I only see him getting to 3rd if he stays in the league long enough.

That sounds about right to me. Don't see him holding up and playing enough to set the record.

yeah, i say 3rd with outside shot at 2nd. He'll be 33 before next season so i'll say 5-6 more seasons if he stays healthy, so maybe 8,000 to 10,000 more points?

Does anyone know if it's only points scored in the regular season, or are points scored in the playoffs included as well?

Imagine if Shaq was a good free throw shooter... he would be #1 on that list.

Just calculated it. Shaq is shooting 50% career at the line, if he shot 75% he would be at 31,000

I think Lebron has a legitimate shot at one day claiming the no. 1 spot if he can stay healthy. Already has 16,000 points in his career.

It's also his 8th year in the league.

Seems like just yesterday he played that first game against the Kings...
