Kobe: I went through 7yrs of hell

What a whiny bitch! He hasn't got a clue what hell is! It's great to have your goals set high and all that, but he just comes off as a moron here imo.

Quote:
Unlike several of his fellow superstars, Kobe Bryant has an excellent supporting cast with the Lakers.

“I’m set up to have a good run here,” Bryant said. “I’ve been very fortunate. I went through seven years of hell. Management decided that it was time to spend the money to bring in the players here.”

Bryant’s “seven years” reference is a bit of a stretch, as the Lakers went just five seasons between titles.

Bryant can opt out his contract at the end of the season, and though he announced during the summer his intention to sign an extension with the Lakers, he has yet to do so.

“It sends a positive [message] for him to re-sign with the team and continue to build on the group that we have,” Pau Gasol said. “The window is pretty big. We have to make sure we take advantage of it. The organization is doing what it needs to keep the main pieces together, so we have a chance to win championships for a few years. How many years remains to be seen, but we’ve given ourselves a chance.”

HAHA he said seven years and it was only 5 years between titles, what a moron.

Would like to see how this guy would be on a team not willing to go over the CAP. People would be saying he isn't worth max money.

You practically have to go over the cap to be a championship contender though. So when your average everyone criticises you

He's lucky he isn't sucking some dude off in prison. This guy has lost all perspective, and has no clue what hell is, and to say that with what's going on in Haiti.....pathetic. Plunk his ass down in Haiti for a week and see if he thinks living in LA in his 10Mil mansion, looking at his 4 championship rings daily is hell.

I couldn't agree more. I guess for Kobe, life is only basketball and everything outside of that doesn't exist. What a clouded perception.

Having Kwame Brown, Smush Parker, and Luke Walton starting is fricken hell. He personally took the Lakers to the first round 41-41.

7 years if obviously a stretch but grade the talent he had.

geez

Are you kidding me? I'm almost positive he was referring to "hell" as dealing with the run that he had for those seven years, not his life as whole. Cause that was the only topic discussed in the sentence before and after his statement. And it was also a hyperbole. So..

Who said he was talking about his life?

This guy has had only 1 losing season in his whole career and has only missed the playoffs once (same 04-05 season).

He was talking about his last 7 years in the NBA I presume, yet you brought his LIFESTYLE (i.e the above quote) into the discussion when he said the past few years of his CAREER were "hell", acting as if he were complaining about his lifestyle.

Saying anything in his life is hell is a joke PERIOD. In his career he has had 1 losing season, he's gone to the finals 6 times and has 4 Championship rings. So, him having a couple years where the team was rebuilding is hell to him? You don't think that sounds the slightest bit childish.

As for me bringing his general lifestyle, i was just pointing out that he sounds like a spoiled brat considering everything he has in his life, and all that he and the Lakers have accomplished. Wahhhhhh, i didn't make it to finals every years, wahhhhh i missed the playoffs once!! This is why i hate Kobe almost as much as i hate KG. I admire his basketball skills, and his amazing work ethic but the guy is an arogant douche that comes off as a spoiled bitch.

The man is a professional athlete and a future hall of famer and will likely end up with 5+ Championship rings. How he can call his anything in his life hell, with whats going on in the world these days shows how out of touch he is.

I still fail to realize why you keep saying LIFE? He was talking about his career these past few years. I agree with you that he isn't justified to say his career these past few years has been "hell", but how does him complaining about his career = he is out of tune with world issues?

OK, i'm gonna say this as plain as possible because obviously it's flying over your head at epic speed. Forget about his personal life (it was a generalization).

Here goes......

Kobe Bryant has fuck all to complain about when it comes to anything in his career.

Btw, when did i say he's out of tune with world issues?

You saw it.

Missed the playoffs one year.

1st round exit in the next year.

And the year after he threatened to leave if the Lakers didn't do something.

This is exactly why I laugh my ass off when people say "Bosh isn't a franchise player" because he couldn't lead our pathetic Raptor teams to the playoffs or out of the first round.
