Kobe Doin' Work

What happens when Spike Lee puts 30 cameras to work on Kobe? You get a unique look at No. 24. Go behind the lens of "Kobe Doin' Work" (Sat., 8 ET, ESPN)

Chat with Spike Lee: ESPN: Chat with Spike Lee - SportsNation

Quote:
What was the inspiration for the film?

There was a film at the Cannes Film Festival a couple of years ago about the soccer great (Zinedine) Zidane. In the film, they had several cameras on him the whole time. I had never seen anything like it before in sports, and I got to thinking … ya know, this would work even better for basketball. So I reached out to Kobe, coach Phil Jackson, Dr. Buss, his daughter, commissioner David Stern and ESPN. And we got it done.

Another link with Spike Lee interview and some info: Kobe Doin' Work - ESPN

I know all you Kobe fans will watch this

Eh. I watched the preview where they're in the fourth quarter and that was enough for me.

The preview sucked, and I like Spikes movies.

Behind the Glory is a great show that really shows where the players came from and how they got to where they are. What Spikes doing is boring IMO because it shows Kobe only now. Unless theyre following him around all day and showing some things we really dont know about him its not really worth watching.

I rather see a movie about Ama're Stoudemire's life, his story has more heart and he has been through alot of shit.

What a piece of shit movie, Spike flat out admitting he ripped Zidane's flick, which is Genius.

Why the hell do we need a movie about a guy who isn't even the best in the game now, when we have already seen one about the best in decades...
