Kobe: Deron Should Have Been All-Star

Nice of Kobe to say I guess but it'll likely happen next year for Deron. Just a shame he has another couple PG's in the West he falls behind in Nash and Paul. Its only a matter of another couple years before Nash loses a step and Deron takes over the reigns with Chris Paul as the premier point guards in the West Conference and even possibly the NBA. :clapping:

Maybe believed that Williams would replace Bryant if the NBA had allowed him to sit out the game.

"I think it was a really dumb rule," Bryant said. "I would have loved to see [Williams] in there playing and doing his thing. He's a deserving All-Star, without question. It's a stupid rule."

huh?
what does that even mean?
the nba didnt let kobe sit out the game?
thats ridiculous... kobe wanted to start (for some strange reason) then sit out for the rest of the 47 minutes... the nba didnt force him to start or play that 1 minute.

i think kobe had some personal shit going on where he wanted to start his consecutive 8th all star game... or whatever the number is.

I hate Kobe as much as the next guy but this time it wasn't his fault... he wanted to miss All-Star game since he injured his finger but Stern wouldn't allow it... according to the league rules if player plays in the last game before the All-Star break and is voted in (by fans or coaches) he has to play in the All-Star game... since Kobe was voted in by the fans he got the start... he did and after one minute he left for the bench... he asked and was allowed to pull out of the 3 point competition.

So, there you go...
