Knicks Knicks Promise Curry They'll Pick Him At 8?

Quote:
NBADraft.net cites sources who corroborate that unless the Knicks move up to one of the top three slots, they will pick Davidson's Stephen Curry with the 8th pick.

Curry reportedly chose to enter this year's draft based on the Knicks' assurances.

I think it's only me and you that think that
Hopefully this lets Evans fall to the Raps, even though I think he can be picked higher

Curry would be awesome in D'Antoni's system. The Knicks are one legitimate big man away from being a solid playoff team.

make that 4...
he's undersized, but he can score, and under D'Antoni, thats all he'll need to do.

I've liked him since Day 1.

He'll be a player.

So make that 5.

It looks like people like him, which surprises me
I thought everyone would say he's undersized and not an athletic slasher
I was hoping he would be our Jason Terry

Smoke screen! Walsh has history of doing this.

I can see why they'd be genuinely interested, but a pure point is a more pressing need i feel (and a defensive center obviously, but they aren't getting that unless thabeet falls).

You can't discount 2 things.

#1 - He can flat out shoot the ball.

#2 - He's the kid of an NBA player... so he'll be well-prepared.

agreed......he cuold be our sixth-man...kinda like bargs' first year, and it also helps that he can play 2 positions......and in a couple of years he can be a solid starter........

Im pretty sure he means Curry, cause Derozan at worst is an energy bench player, even if he doesn't improve at all. But, the potential is clearly there, his release is picture perfect some coaching will make him a consistent shooter. He has the athleticism to become an amazing defender, but the only question is whether he has the brains. He's the most athletic player in this draft, it might be close with griffin however, but he isn't within our reach.

That right there is what scares me about DeRozan being a Raptor draft pick. I still like him over Curry given a choice - Curry seems to have situational player written all over him.
