Anyone think that deal might gave been worth it for NJ? OK, that's crazy, I admit. Randolph is nuts.

That said, NJ is thin in the post, and Randolph would thrive with JKidd feeding him the ball. Jefferson has been better than Vince this year (both of them are douches, so that's a wash), and we all know what you get from Vince when he's got years left in his contract. NJ gets bigger and younger, gains a 20/10 post presence, and clearly gets much tougher.

Could Kidd just pull rank on Randolph and compel him to commit to something, or would either of them just reject the whole idea and bail? I mean, Randolph is nuts.

It would be a pressure cooker, that's for sure, but Kidd/RJ/Z-Bo is a pretty decent big 3 to compete with Boston if they're all on top of their game...

Yeah, but apparently a month ago the Knicks first approached the Nets to offer Z-Bo. :)

Nets shoud've done it. They're going nowhere anyway with Carter.

Actually, that's a good deal for both sides. I don't know why the Nets would turn that down especially since they need someone down low. I think Kidd can keep Z-Bo in check.
Carter would fit right in with the rest of swingmen in NY.
