LOL really? Melo, CP3, Chandler.... instant contender.

Its still ridiculous to say that Chandler is > Stoudamire!! Even though Stoudamires defense isnt as strong, Ill still take him over any day over Chandler imo just because he has more of an offensive game, can catch lobs too and rebound. Block a few shots here and there

I remember a couple years ago everyone was saying that Bosh was better than Amare & Randolph. Who's saying that now?

People are now saying that Randolph > Bosh. But I wasnt here during those years so I dont know. But I was one of the guys who didnt mind having Amare being traded to us for Bosh at that point too though, I just thought he was a much better inside presence while Bargnani can work the perimeter

I'm glad that we are not going after Chandler. Asking for $14.5 M/ yr on the Knicks?

Next free agency class please.

Btw I'm hearing that Chandler to New York is a done deal.

Multiple sources confim to Newsday's Alan Hahn that Chandler will indeed end up with the Knicks. Both Billups and Turiaf will be shed in order to create room for Chandler.

Lolz.. I'd like to know who those people were.

I don't even think that I said that. All 3 were (and are) about equal in spite of what the haters will say.

Good for the knicks giving giving that much money to Chandler! Does that now mean that Gasol will get $16mil/year?

People who disagree aren't necessarily haters.

I remember when we weren't sure if Bosh wanted to be here, someone mentioned getting Amare. Many here were against it, saying Amare wasn't as good and the only reason he did as well as he had was because of Mr Canada. And when he went to NY, many said he'd fail without, yes.....Mr Canada. Zach Randolph was laughed at a couple years ago here when he proclaimed he was better than Bosh.

Damn... I must've been away for those conversations. Lulz.

Amazing what 1 playoff series did for Zach's stock though.

Chauncy Billups would like good in a Raptors uniform..

Especially since the Knicks gotta waive him to sign Chandler.

i'd give him more than one measly playoff series. the man was a beast the entire year.
but saying that, i still dont see him in the top tier...never will, either.

Fair enough. Don't think that I ever argued that either of those guys were "top tier".

Zach avgd about 20 + 12 on 50% shooting this past year.

Bosh avgd 24 + 11 on 52% shooting in his last year with us.

Amare avgd 25 + 8 on 50% shooting this past year with NYK.

Pretty similar numbers all around.

You pair ANY of those guys with a dominant wing player and you're going to have a hell of a team.

If they landed CP3 and Chandler for essentially Billups/Stoudemire, sure they would be better, but instant contender I think not. Generally my point was that they only made such a large trade with Denver because they wanted Chauncey AND 'Melo, even though he said he'd only sign with the Knicks anyways. Taking this into consideration, why did they get rid of Gallinari and Wilson Chandler when those could have been two very useful parts of possible championship contender? Doesn't make much sense to me.
