Kings Waive Mikki

As expected, the Sacramento Kings waived Mikki Moore as part of their busy trade deadline day on Thursday, Sam Amick of the Sacramento Bee is reporting.
So how will get him?? I think Boston, considering Garnett is out for a month

Krazy Ivan 02-20-2009 11:38 PM

I still remember him pwning Bosh in playoffs.

Gurk 02-20-2009 11:39 PM

Yea I remember that. So does that mean we should waive Bosh and get Moore????:confused2:

It means that BC should've traded Sampson for 2nd round pick and get Moore now.

I have actually always like his game. He provides a lot of energy, but controlled energy. I don't think he's really a fit for anything the Raptors want to do right now, but whoever picks him up will be getting a valuable asset.

THis was bound to happen so it did:
Quote:

The Boston Celtics announced today that the club has signed free agent center/forward Mikki Moore. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. “Mikki’s length, energy, skill and experience, along with his enthusiasm to come to Boston, will be a great boost for us.” said Danny Ainge, Celtics President of Basketball Operations.

moore never pwned bosh. it was a collective pwnage from the nets.

good pick-up by the celtics, but i still want to see them lose.

I don't see him really adding much, but he's probably the best guy out there they could get. He owed an awful lot to Kidd and Carter before.

nice...with the addition of moore & marbury, lets see what happens

Gives them a near 7 footer off the bench who plays with a lot of energy and is a pretty damn good defender, and he can kncok down jumpers once in a while.

Like the poor mans PJ Brown from last year. Now they just need tony allen to come back strong, and maybe sign Marbury for the stretch run, cant hurt em.

i don't know man. where does he fit in? what kind of minutes would he play, especially in a short rotation in the playoffs? what happens if he's unsatisfied with his role? it's too much of a risk for a team that doesn't really need that much guard help.

dfunkie1 02-24-2009 11:19 PM

it's been a long time since marbs has hit the floor. who's to say that he'll even be game ready come the playoffs.

i personally don't like the idea of buying out players to leach on to contenders. once they're released, they should sit until the end of the season. that, or the team picking them up should be responsible for the remainder of their contract.

Superjudge 02-25-2009 08:34 AM

The NBA is shady.. hahaha he's not waived for more than 2 seconds and the celtics, an lready over the cap contender have him signed...

:)

Windex 02-25-2009 08:44 AM

what about starbury :confused2:

Raptorman 02-25-2009 09:22 AM

Starbury to the Celtics might be the only chance anyone has to beat the Celts this year.

How so? If hes a cancer they can just waive him, and if he works out theyll have the backup PG they need that can handle the ball AND shoot. Right now they have 2 pgs, one can do each of those things with House providing the shooting and Pruitt the ballhandling, but House was next to invisible in most of the eastern conference series last year due to teams pressuring him, and although Pruitt looks like a good young prospect, hes not ready yet.

Marbury right now is a combo of the 2 and if he works out teams are in trouble, and again if not he'll be gone.

mikki...marbury, boston's back baby! :dancing:
