and short term --- well, lets just say Kings were much worse last year with a Cousins-Dalembert lineup than with just one of them.

The Kings were a mess last year... I wouldn't judge solely based on that.

they were a much bigger mess with Cousins at 4.

and don't judge solely on that. he's very agile for a 5. at 4, he's slow.
when he's not too lazy, he can play awesome post defense. he can't defend most 4s.
he has great post game (reminds me of Sabonis tbh). he's extremely inefficient in the high post.
he's as strong as any center and embraces contact.
why would you put him at 4? the only reason is if you have another great 5 and no decent 4 whatsoever.

Most people have him listed as 4. But Yes he does look alot better at the 5. Regardless his 13 pts, 12 rebs, per 24 mins is hardly worth the off court/ looker room garbage. The kings have gone out of their way to bring this guy into the fold. They even hired his high school coach, when the only purpose it served was his ego. His maturity level is even at the source of this dispute. When the coach questioned his effort and attitude he responded with a "If you dislike me that much, then just trade me" line. The guy has the emotion fragility of 14 year old girl.

his attitude is horrible, but that said, i don't think Kings did a good job.
Callipari had him mostly under control. Westpaul seems way over his head. And hiring his HS coach - that's not a great message for a guy with huge entitlement issues.

he's 13-12 while making a ton of mistakes and fouls. that's kind of disappointing. but generally, that's a sign of great things to come. and it's not really stats that are impressive. there are moments when you watch him, he does things noone else can do. he could absolutely be the best two-ways center in the league.
if someone could keep him under control.
so much Artest in him.
i could easily see him flip out one day and get into a major fight after a hard foul.
but if you have strong coach, strong veterans, and little to lose... i don't know how you can pass this up. a 2004 Pistons situation before they got Rasheed. today, that's Celtics, Blazers, 76ers, Spurs, maybe Suns and Mavs. I'd love to see him grow on one of those teams.
