What do you guys think about his crazy season? He's been putting up some unbelievable numbers this year.

Some game logs(points and rebounds):

17 & 14 vs. NY (pre)

16 & 15 vs. Den (pre)

32 & 13 vs. Mil (pre)

28 & 11 vs. Ind (pre)

17 & 16 vs. Mil

18 & 12 vs. Atl

16 & 16 vs. Hou

23 & 24 vs. LaL

31 & 31 vs. NY

22 & 17 vs. Atl

24 & 14 vs. LaC

24 & 17 vs. Okc

32 & 22 vs. SaS

21 & 22 vs. GS

Last 5 games:

25 & 18 vs. SaS

28 & 19 vs. Cle

33 & 15 vs. NY

22 & 21 vs. Okc

27 & 18 vs. Det

Very consistent.

He's an absolute rebounding machine. Haven't seen a rebounder this furocious since Ben Wallace in 03. His scoring average is a bit overrated though. He's kind of a chucker. 45% FG for a PF is pretty low.

A number of people around here were high on him before the season got going. I think it was Claudius who started a thread about trying to acquire Love when Rambis benched him during the opening week of the season. The suggestion was well received. He is huge on the boards. Even if his stats are a bit inflated by playing in Minnesota, he is an all-star talent.

His ppg is probably a bit inflated due to extra touches he gets, but he is actually an efficient scorer. He scores over 20 ppg on just over 15 FGA attempts. When you have a player scoring 1.3 points per shot, they are usually being efficient. Love gets to the foul line and shoots quite a few 3s. He uses his touches fairly well. I would expect his shooting percentage to be a bit low since he takes so many perimeter shots, similar to Bargnani. Also, he is a bit undersized for a big, which makes it more difficult for him to dominate when he does go to his post moves. But he does create a steady amount of FT attempts and extra offense with his O-boards.

Is it possible that with rebounding numbers like Love has, he is the Ying to Bargnani's Yang?

BC get'er done!

neither of them can play any defense.(not from what I've seen out of Love) At least right now Love is paired with Darko.

I think the most surprising thing about Love is the range he's added to his game. A 4 that can crash the boards AND step out and hit a 3 is a really valuable commodity, I think. Just needs to work on his defense.

Lol.... there's nothing that we could give MIN that would make them let go of Love.

We'd have to offer them a ridiculous package like Bargs + Bayless + 1st rounder and that likely STILL wouldn't get it done.

It's still worth it I would say. A 21 point scorer, a young pg with good potential and a top 5 or 10 pick? Love is great, but you are filling up three positions there..

i don't think there's an asset that the team has ever had that would pry love away from the wolves. not even vince in his prime.

point taken. but the only big men in recent memory i can think of that were putting up those kinds of numbers early in their careers were shaq and duncan. do you want flash or do you want potential franchise big man? i'm not saying he's there yet, but serious financial problems have gotta be the only things that would make the wolves even think about getting rid of love.

.... Hello.

31 and freaking 31. I actually thought this must have been a typo so i looked it up and WOW it's true.

I think the reason this thread doesn't have more replies is because some people passed out when they saw this. I would know because i got a little dizzy myself.
