Pissed that I missed it. Thought it'd be a clubbing.

KD's been hot for a while now... he's somehow been shooting over 50% for the last few months, even with Seattle's horrible strategy of forcing him into that role.

Nuggets = FAIL.

that was an awesome game, that 3 durant hit over camby was incredible, halfway between the 3 point line and half court.

wasnt there some people around here saying he didnt deserve to be ROY? where are they?

Can we talk about his 2-17 shooting night against Houston a couple of nights ago? Or the fact that he's barely shooting .400 for the season? This for a guy who's 6-10? Horrible.

Right now, he wins the ROY on default, because no one is a #1 scoring option on their team like he is.

Tommy I'm right here and I STILL think Horford should get it. I shall always hate Durrant though.

Hes shooting 42% on the year and 50% over the past 3 months if I'm not mistaken. I wasnt a Horford believer either but the last few months have convinced me and yesterday was just the icing on the cake. The guy is a primetime performer. Hes got onions.

And again, why should Horford get it? Hes the 5th best player on his team and his impact hasnt been anywhere near Durants and his team still sucks even though theyre gonna make the playoffs. If Durant was on the Hawks theyd be at least 2 wins better and his FG% would be very good for a rook. Their performances and impact this year havent even been close.

42% shooting isn't very good. I will admit, I give him the benefit of the doubt because he's a rook, and he's been give the green light to jack 'em up. The stat line he produced last night was impressive but sorry, I'm not impressed overall. He's a good player, but he'll be one of those stat-stuffer players.

42% is impressive when you consider that he was at 39% all year until the last few months. Of course hes been given the green light, hes the best player on their team and they dont have much besides him. How could he have proven that he isnt one of those stat sheet stuffers on that team? Theyre lucky theyve won this many games this year.

The thing that proves to me he isnt going to be another Ricky Davis loser is his shot selection improvement over the months, his bball IQ, and hes already one of the most clutch players in the NBA and wants the ball in the dying seconds. That says special player to me, and again, I was on the I dont like Durant boat before the last few months too. Hes made a nice jump lately.

Of course he's going to want the ball in the final seconds. The Sonics drafted him #2 overall to be THE MAN, so he's going to be give the green light to jack up as mnay shots as possible. Same thing happened with Lebron in Cleveland and Carmelo in Denver. The kid has made a habit of making some pretty big shots - even at Texas, so I will admit that he has the makings of being a clutch player.

Good player? Yes. Great player? Hard to say.

Jeez guys.
He's just a fuckin' rookie.

Give him some time to show what he is made of, don't write him off after not even a full year. PJ has told everyone on the face of this earth that he's given KD the green light to shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot some more, because no one else on that team can do anything with the ball on offense.

50% over the last 3 months is damn good.

In any case, he's better than the sorry sack of shit that we have in Bargnani, yet everyone is ready to be patient for Bargs, including myself. But cmon, you got to be patient with durant too.

I agree with that, I'm just saying his poise and his shot making ability in crunchtime is amazing for a rook. Hes more clutch than 90% of the superstars already in the NBA.

If he was on the Raptors youd be drooling right now. He'd be the absolute perfect fit here. Thinking about Stern not implimenting the age restriction the year we get the #1 pick is enough to blow Raptor fans minds. Imagine Oden or Durant with Bosh, yowzerz.

Thrills, I agree on Durrant. I agree that he's potentially a great player.

Again though, I just don't like the kid. It's one of those irrational things that I just can't explain. Hence, why I cheer for Horford. I'm a fan of big men who rebound and score and are tough. I know I'm wrong, but I acknowledge my bias.

People keep comparing Horford to Boozer and I just dont see it. I dont think hes fluid enough with his movement to become like Boozer. I think hes more of a defensive presence now and in the future than he'll be offensive presence. Cant really think of a good comparison for him...maybe what Nene could have been.

Yep. That was our title contendership out the window right there, that fuckin rule change. I'm gonna be crying for the next 10 years when we have to see Portland winning the West with Roy, Alderidge, and Oden. All 3 of those guys on the same team are just... ouch
