Kind of wonder why the Raps never had him on their radar for the min.? Would have loved to seen him sitting at the end of the bench. A better option than Pop IMO.

Damn, would've liked to get this player on the raps

but maybe he would have had little to no PT here

I agree although I think he could have been a solid 15-20 minute guy. He would have probably supplanted Evans on the depth chart because at least he can score and block some shots as well as rebound and defend.Would have also been a bit of an insurance policy if one of the bigs got hurt.......he has shown he can produce numbers with starter minutes.

classic money ploy. Sign a 1 year min. deal where you can stack up on points and minutes, then get paid in 2010 from scrambling teams who want to save face after getting nobody max

This is Joe Smith we're talking about here. Even in 2010 he'll get no more than the vet minimum. Have you forgotten how old he is?

We're talking about the Hawks here. Joe Johnson, Mike Bibby, Jamal Crawford, Josh Smith, Marvin Williams, Al Horford, Zaza Pachulia and Maurice Evans. They're stacked with talent.
