Pacers Jeff Foster has retired

Quote:
After 13 seasons in the NBA, all with the Indiana Pacers, forward/center Jeff Foster announced his retirement today due to chronic back problems.

"It's with deep regret that I have to conclude my basketball career," said Foster. "I've given my all to the Pacers and the community the last 13 years. I had hoped to be able to finish the season, but unfortunately my back problems prevented that from occurring. I want to thank the Simon family and the Pacers' organization for 13 memorable years."

That back paid some dues. Too bad. It would have been nice to keep filling roles like Kurt Thomas did for so long.

So underrated. Didn't he lead the league in offensive boards before?

He's only been here for half of that. And I'd keep him for Foster's price.

Foster was a good role player that gave %100 every time on the floor. Stayed loyal to Indiana for 13 seasons and for that I respect him

Sucks to hear.

Foster has always been one of my underrated faves. I (on other boards) lobbied for the Raps to get him on more than one occasion and if he would have been here, he would have been a fan favourite.

Sucks to see him pay all those dues, and then the year when the Pacers turn it around - he's not able to help out.
