Yeah, It's time to go Old timer!!!

DonMughal 03-19-2011 11:48 PM

This is Shaq's last year too. He signed for two years, but I heard him say this is his last shot at his 5th ring.

MISAM38 03-20-2011 03:38 AM

Yeah, KG also said that if a lockout happens this will be his last season. Seeing KG and Shaq go would be tough. They pretty much dominated the nba for the past decade and a half.

ya, I dont know about Dominating the NBA, but they were good (more so on KG, Shaq did a lot)

The NBA is going to be really weird to watch without the 2000 superstars. I really hope the young stars' teams improve quickly to replace the old timers, like KD/Westbrook/Rose have done so far, Wall/CP3/Williams/Griffins teams need to follow

js12 03-20-2011 04:10 PM

No way, KG retiring after this season? :woohoo:

MISAM38 03-20-2011 04:22 PM

Yeah KG possibly will retire if a lockout happens. Same situation with Steve Nash, Shaq, and Timmy Duncan, becaus they only have 1 year left on their contract which will most likely be the lockout year. Grant Hill possibly retire before the lockout even happens, because this is his contract season.

MISAM38 03-20-2011 04:23 PM

The NBA got "weird" when LeBron and Bosh joined the Miami Heat. Took out the competiveness of the whole thing.

I can see that happening. If it did they would all end up being inducted into the hall of fame in the same year.

Shaq, Duncan, KG, and Nash all have expiring contracts in the 2011-2012 season.

I doubt any team would sign a 41 year old Shaq.

How so, Miami has an awful record vs Elite teams, and imo this season has been fun to watch. SA, LAL, Chicago, OKC, Boston. It seems like there are great matchups pretty much nightly. I've actually enjoyed the NBA this season.

This year's playoffs are gunna go down as one of the best ever in NBA history. So many teams capable of going deep in the playoffs and so many teams capable of winning a championship. Unlike last year, it was basically LA, Cleveland, Orlando or Boston.

I really hope Boston faces Chicago again.

LJkAze 03-20-2011 07:08 PM

I wonder if any of the bunch will be signing up for coaching position; imagine KG coaching :mischief:

MISAM38 03-20-2011 08:16 PM

Chicagos improvement has nothin to do with LeBron James joinin Miami, and it was only those four teams- LAL,CLE, ORL,BOS, because San Antonio was goin through injury problems, and Chicago got better this year due to the improvement of Derrick rose. OKC was emergin as a the team it was and it wasnt the fact that miami got better this year at all. IMO this NBA season is weird, and maybe the next 5-6 nba seasons will feel weird to me cuz, LeBron James is in Miami bein on the same time as another great player Dwayne Wade. I remember watchin these 2 go at it b4 and it was great, but to see them on the same team makes me sick. LeBron isnt the same player as he was in Cleveland. Hes too good to be Wade's Bitch. It was more excitin because cleveland was oviously much better , than this current Miami Heat team. And the fact there was more contenders for a championship has nothin to do with the Miami Heat. its the NBA, like any of the major leagues, teams will get better as other teams get worse, and seein Superstars not be the man on their own team is disgustin. PHX and ATL are slippin compared to last yeer. ITs just my own opinion, that this NBA season is weird, and that the one last yeer was much better. This season would be much better if Lebron stayed in cleveland and Bosh stayed in TO, and Carmelo didnt join Amare in NY. We would have had the same amount of title contenders this year:
Cleveland, Boston,Lakers,Spurs,Chicago, OKC, and NY.

I hear Kobe is retiring too if a lockout happens :police:

MISAM38 03-21-2011 04:14 PM

i really doubt it. Hes much younger than most of the players listed above, and he signed a 3 year extension last season, so he would have 1 more season after the lockout (if the lockout is only for 1 season that is). He also said hes gnna retire a bit after the 2012 olympics, becuz he thinks that another gold medal will complete his career.
