New Timberwolves center Jason Collins probably will miss training camp and the regular season's opening week after undergoing surgery in California on Monday to repair an elbow tendon.

Collins was injured in what a team spokesman called a "freak" golf-cart accident. He partially ruptured his triceps tendon after his golf cart skidded and tipped over.

Tipping a cart is what pro athletes do when they are all drunk and acting the part of the fool. Happens every year at nice golf clubs. He deserves whatever he gets and a team suspension for acting the part of the moron.

translation - he was racing his buddy's in the golf cart around the course and rolled out of control.

translation #2 - he was being a guy (who hasnt done this while driving a golf cart? minus the torn triceps of course.)

When I was about 19 my buddy drove his cart into a water hazard. At the time it was pretty freakin' hilarious.

I keep picturing Jason Collins wearing a golf get-up riding a little golf cart

"And now you're going to die wearing that stupid little hat!"

I've been part of significant damage to at least 2 golf carts and enjoyed the shit out of it.

Nope.

Only mishap was this year at Royal Niagara, they spray painted a tree stake green to make it pretty and I ran it over as it was...camoflauged. Put a hole in one of the batteries and leaked acid all over the cart path.

Thats about it. I am pretty much a Golf etiquette kinda guy, started early and stayed that way.

We all know he was drunk. But then again, a dude that big driving a small ass golf cart..that's comedy! Not like Minny needs him anyways. He wasn't going to be a starter.

HE wasn't probably a 2nd string PF or CI don't think this really effects Minny in any way possible

He probably would have been the 2nd string C..but he still wouldn't see much time. I think they can get by without him.

Hes the definition of stiff. All he can do is defend and even thats questionable because Frank's defensive schemes were good and could hide Collins lack of quickness.

He used be decent too back in the early 2000's. He could actually hit a 17 footer and rebound. Hes the Toronto Michael Curry of todays NBA.

Yeah, I agree. You don't have "freak" golf cart accidents. Those things are about the safest thing in the world to drive. They tip over because of people horsing around...Usually while drinking beer or what ever.
