Cavs jamison traded to cavs in a 6 player deal

Quote:
Feb 17, 2010 1:04 PM EST

The Wizards are still waiting on a firm offer for Antawn Jamison from the Cavaliers.

"The ball is in Cleveland's court," one source told ESPN.com. "If Cleveland comes back with a firm offer based on the potential deals they discussed, I think the Wizards will move Jamison."

At least one potential deal discussed with Cleveland on Tuesday (Jamison and Mike James for Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Jamario Moon) would put the Wizards below the tax this season.

Jamison is supposed to take some of the scoring load off LeBron because he can shoot from anywhere on the floor consistently.

Default Thank God, Jamison Headed for Cleveland!

This takes the Cav's out of the Amare sweepstakes. Team a 27 year old Amare with someone like Lebron James and we would have been watching Cleveland hoist conference titles for the next five years. Jamison is significantly less dangerous and at 33 years old is on the decline.

My bet is it's Miami for Stoudemire and if Beasley is included in that deal far less onerous than a Lebron-Stoudemire match.

Seriously?

Jamieson is a way better fit than Amare. A PF who stretches the floor paired with the biggest man in the NBA. Jeez, Parker, Williams and Jamieson are gonna rain threes on the competition now.

And Amare is a way better fit with either Chicago or Miami(Probably Miami)

Awesome...

This means Amare may end up in Miami... and hopefully he resigns there if he and wade start playing well together...

That means 1 less option for Bosh... More of a reason for him to stay

Scary.

Clevland just got ALOT better.

Williams, Parker and Jamieson all very solid shooter surrounding Lebron and Shaq.

Lebron gets his ring this year.

if that was to happen the only reasonable option left (without S&T) is Chicago imo.

NY I don't see it happening without LeBron and the Nets, well hmm, I don' t think so even though Nets plus Bosh plus Wall could be fuckin scary.

I don't disagree entirely, but what i like best is Jamison's age (33) makes him far less dangerous each year while Stoudemire is just entering his prime. Using Carter as an example since they both came in the league at the same time you can see significant slippage in Vince's game allready.

Stoudemire with Lebron 's great playmaking ability would have made guarding the paint excrutiating for opposition teams. Miami has significantly less talent if they have to part with Beasley and the impact Amare would have there wouldn't be nearly quite as scary.

See here's the thing

NY Lebron will be the man - Bosh wants to be the man and has already laffed at playing in NY.

Chicago - Would Bosh really be the man or is it Rose's team?

NJ - He would be starting from scratch with a team thats unstable playing in Newark for 2 seasons then moving again? New owner and a new coach probably coming in next year. John Wall is the plus but he's not proven NBA player yet either although he'll prob be based on perdictions from "analysts".

Toronto seem's like his best choice still.

Jamiesons age makes no difference.

Lebron wanted Tawn, he got him.

Its all about resigning Lebronin the offseason and now they will.

Stop the presses!

I agree with Snooch 100%!!

LOVE that trade for CLE. They're the odds on favourite now IMO.

Sources told ESPN.com that the deal will also send Zydrunas Ilgauskas' $11.5 million expiring contract and a first-round draft pick from Cleveland to Washington.

The deal also calls for the Wizards to receive Al Thornton from the Clippers, sources said, with L.A. getting forward Drew Gooden, whom Washington acquired in last week's trade with Dallas.

Besides Jamison, Cleveland will also acquire Clippers guard Sebastian Telfair.
